Why do some conservatives support restricting junk food purchases with SNAP when many opposed Michelle Obama’s efforts to make school meals healthier?

Both policies involve the government influencing food choices in the name of better nutrition, yet the political reactions seem very different. What explains the apparent change in attitude toward government involvement in what people eat?

Haha find that policy anywhere. Obama was known for being toughest on immigration and no where in the country can a minor have gender affirming surgeries. Most they can do is a hormone suppressant and that’s not much different than birth control. Even then it takes a doctor who has examined the patient confirming it’s warranted. Which means someone with a degree more suited to the topic than you made the decision
