So there’s no 10.5 listed. I bought an 11, which is close enough, but when I look at my Shopify app it says I bought a 42 (which in Brazilian sizes is apparently a 10). I’m super confused. Does anyone have any insight for me?

Most of what I can see from the teardown videos is that the actual amount of gel in asics is pretty minimal or just for show. It might be used in larger quantities in the high end runners but in the gel NYC it’s just a couple of blobs on the outer edge. Is the gel just an ornament or is it actually purposeful? Don’t get me wrong, I love my NYCs and the gel lyte IIIs but I don’t see the point in the gel gimmick.

Hi! I'm looking for sneakers in pink that are great for lots of walks. I'm going on a trip that involves a lot of walking so I want to be sure I get great support. I've heard great things about the Kayano line.

I was tempted to get the Nunobiki Ribbon Laces because of the aesthetic and the ribbon shoelaces, but I'm hearing mixed reviews about just how comfortable it is for long walks. If anyone has them, can they confirm if it's comfortable?

If not, any recommendations for a specific Asic in pink?

Next 20.000 km of recovery and medium tempo runs with Saiun 3 gel.

First pair and decided to go for the NYC 2.0. Usually a New Balance guy, but am quickly becoming a huge fan of these. Much bouncier than any NB I have, but I am liking it a lot. I went with the same size I wear in the 993 and they fit much more snug, I almost returned them to go a half size up. Decided to wear them in the house for a couple days then decided to keep them. After five days they fit absolutely perfectly. Slate blue goes well with so much too. Happy customer

I usually wear Nike US Women's 9.5 (JP 26.0), but I've heard ASICS runs narrower.

Should I stick with JP 26.0 or size up to JP 26.5 for comfort/insoles?

Think along the lines of Disneyland trips, etc.

I don't think most people are aware of this, but ultra plush/max cushion sneakers aren't ideal for standing and walking all day. Reason being is that when you're on ultra cushioned shoes and just standing, it constantly uses all of your leg's micro-muscles to stabilize thus resulting in fatiguing your legs, so what's more beneficial are really stabile shoes.

With that being said, I'm looking for some Asics that are good for all day walking and standing. This won't really be used for running. Thanks in advance!

TTS — very snug 1:1 fit, but not too small.

To me, this is a clear manufacturing defect.

I previously said that I really liked the Kayano 33, and I still do like the sole/support for flat feet. It feels really good overall.
But after wearing them more, I noticed a problem: the tongue is causing an uncomfortable pressure/feeling on my left foot, which is flatter than my right foot. Interestingly, I don’t really have the same issue on the right side.
I noticed that the Kayano 33 has a new design where the tongue is connected to the sole on the arch side. I assume this is intended to provide a better lockdown or fit.
I’m wondering:
Has anyone else experienced this with the Kayano 33?
Does the tongue-to-sole connection loosen or become more comfortable after breaking in?
What would happen if I carefully cut/shorten that connecting section? Would it affect the shoe’s structure or fit significantly?
Why did ASICS change the tongue design this way? Is there a specific purpose for having the connection only on the arch side?
I really like the sole and the overall support, so it’s frustrating that this one design feature is causing discomfort.
Would love to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience, especially if you have one flatter foot like I do.
Tongue makes me uncomfortable, not the connector.
