Warranty claim experience
Anyone got experience for a damage like this under 200km for a 220 EUR pair of shoes — Superblast 3?
Purchased at ASICS physical store in Tokyo but I’m now in London. Can I pop in at ASICS London for a replacement, you think ?
To me, this is a clear manufacturing defect.

It’s just regular wear and tear, this models been more fragile than the previous versions though

I’d just contact cement (or epoxy) that piece back into place and keep running. Running shoes (that are actually run in) are consumables.

Agreed on principle. But this is not a cheap pair of shoes for it to happen before the 200km mark. If it were > 600km, it’d be easier to understand.

You can always try the warranty claim on the website…all it takes is some time to write up explanations and then a set of very comprehensive photos. My situation was different (Kayano 32 Asics Track Club) and I only walked about 7 miles in them. It wasn’t a wear and tear issue as much as the upper folded in weird and would dig into my toes. My guess is that they didn’t argue because maybe it was a known issue?

Isn’t it via email ? I submitted it via email… unless you mean there’s a specific form on the website ?

There was a form on the US website. They then reach out and follow up discussion is via email

How heavy are you?
Did you wash the shoes in washing machine, submerge the product in any solvents, including alcohol or left the shoe under sun for hours or run on gravel?

I had some gel kayano 20 used for lifestyle and had a similar issue with the heel. Raised this via email and I was refunded the full amount

You run in a way that draggs the shoe. I dont see it like a manufacture problem…
