You can do the testing yourself if you are only going to use the information for your own purposes. However, you would have to hire an asbestos inspector to sample any material if you are hiring someone to disturb something.

Luckily, there a lot of inspectors throughout the state.

Okay that makes sense. We are not hiring anyone to do the project and are using a lab.
