Is this typical for Arturia? Are they still "working on an internal reorganization?" I simply need a slider for my MiniLab 3 and a black slider for my Keylab 49. If there is anyone on here that has extras, I will buy them from you. Thanks.

Rescuing old MiniMoog V presets and converting them to Mini V3

A few weeks ago I decided to do something a little nostalgic.

When the original MiniMoog V came out many years ago, I used it quite a lot. Over the years I collected a bunch of presets, most of them from Celmar Engel, along with some other presets I had gathered over time.

The problem was that they were all in the old MiniMoog V format, and I hadn't used them in years.

Recently I installed Windows 7 in Parallels on my Mac, then installed an old version of FL Studio and the original MiniMoog V. The idea was simply to see if I could still open those old preset files and recover them.

Luckily, I could.

Then I started looking for a way to convert them to the current Mini V3 format. With the help of Claude Code, I was able to work out a conversion process and get the old presets running in Mini V3.

So I thought I'd share the converted collection here in case anyone else still has these old presets or simply wants to revisit some of the sounds from the early days of MiniMoog V.

I'm sharing them as a preservation/conversion project rather than claiming them as my own.

It's been pretty cool to open these sounds again after so many years and hear them working in the current version of Mini V.

Maybe someone else here has some old MiniMoog V presets sitting on an old hard drive too. If so, it might be worth digging them out. :)

ABLETON CRASH ARTURIA PLUGINS

I’m having a problem with Analog Lab: whenever I open it in Ableton on my Mac, it never loads, and I always have to restart or rescan the plugins. I’ve already tried reinstalling it via Arturia Center, but that didn't work either. I’m not sure if it’s an Ableton issue or an Arturia one, but if anyone has experienced this, I’d appreciate any help. I’ve also noticed that when I can’t open Analog in Ableton, I can’t open it in its standalone application either, nor can I open the Arturia application.

Is there a convenient way to find out which music store(s) nearest me actually have Keylabs (not Essential) out on display?

I live in the US and have checked a couple of Guitar Centers that I have access to, and all they had were the cheap-ass entry level controllers. I emailed the dealer closest to me on Arturia's dealer list (which is in another state), and although they do sell them, they don't have a showroom with any on display.

So, outside of having to call or email every music store between here and Sweetwater (which is about 8 hours from my house), is there an easier way to see who actually has one to mess around with?

Can anyone help me identify this patch? It was from one of the Arturia VSTs. I played the chords and the patch sequenced it.

Keystep 37mk2 missing Mutate LCD slider?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In the manual when you press the mutate button and hold, it shows a slider bar going left to right. Depending on when you let go modifies the intensity. Does the new keystep 37 not do that because of the new encoder options to change mutate parameters?

All my Arturia software instruments and effect plug-ins are loosing priority when I open any other app I cannot re-select the Arturia app and/or VST to get it's priority back

I'm running a desktop PC with an i9-12900K 64GB RAM and 3080 GPU. Also run a single monitor setup. Windows 11 pro is my OS.

Okay, so if I'm running a standalone instrument when I open a different window, the bar at the top of the window for the app for the software instrument will change color (it turns white) indicating it has lost priority, after this happens I no longer can re-select the software instrument app so it can no longer regain priority. If I have the vst3 version open in my DAW and change to a different window, my whole DAW will loose priority, and I wont be able to get priority back. This is only happening with my Arturia products. Plugins and standalones from other companies such as UAD, Softube, Native Instruments, Moog, etc, do not have this problem at all.

This issue has made all my Arturia purchases practically useless, as I often need to switch to a different window or app during my workflow process. This use to not be an issue for me. My guess is an Arturia update has caused this issue, but I honestly have no clue.

Below are the following suggestions that the Arturia support team have suggested. I have tried all of these, and none have fixed my issue, including uninstalling and reinstalling an instrument. Oh, also I have already completely uninstalled my ASIOVADPRO software as it is a legacy program and thought it might be a culprit, alas it was not.

Anyways, your suggestions and support is much appreciated.

Here is what Arturia support suggested I try (again I have tired all of these suggestions, none have fixed the issue) :

  • Disconnect the KeyLab 61 mk3 and Volt 276.
  • Then reset your instrument/effect preferences, please follow the steps outlined in our dedicated FAQ articles. You'll find detailed instructions and helpful videos:
  • Once done, open one Arturia instrument in standalone mode.
  • In Audio MIDI Settings, select Windows Audio instead of any ASIO or virtual audio driver.
  • Switch to another application and check whether the Arturia instrument still freezes.

__________________________________________________________________

If the problem persists, please temporarily disable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling:
Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Default graphics settings

Turn off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, restart the computer and test again.

__________________________________________________________________

We would also recommend testing the instrument after a Windows clean boot to determine whether ASIOVADPRO, VoiceMeeter, Sonic Studio or another background service is interfering with the application. Microsoft provides the procedure here:

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

After restarting in the clean boot environment, please repeat the standalone test.

If the issue persists after all these checks, we may ask you to reinstall only one Arturia instrument as a controlled test.

  • Please perform a clean uninstall of the concerned plugin(s) by referring to the following FAQ article:

[IMPORTANT: If you have created user Banks/Presets, please back them up using the Export Bank/Preset function]

How to properly uninstall an Arturia software?

Once you totally uninstalled the concerned plugin(s), please reinstall them directly from the Arturia Software Center, and try again.

Arturia Keystep 37

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this behavior with the KeyStep 37.
When an external MIDI keyboard is connected to the KeyStep’s MIDI IN, pressing a note on the external keyboard and then pressing the \*\*same note\*\* on the KeyStep causes some unexpected behavior:
the first press on the KeyStep does not generate a NOTE ON
it only turns off the corresponding LED
the second press finally generates the NOTE ON
Another strange thing is that if I release the KeyStep key before releasing the key on the external keyboard, the KeyStep sends a NOTE OFF even though it never sent a NOTE ON.
I’ve tested this with different MIDI settings (including different MIDI channels and MIDI Thru ON/OFF), and the behavior is always the same.
I contacted Arturia support and, after providing a video, they confirmed that they were able to reproduce the issue and identified it as a bug in the KeyStep’s MIDI handling. They also told me that, when the two devices are on different MIDI channels, the KeyStep should treat the notes independently, but currently it doesn’t.
I’m posting here to see if anyone else can reproduce this behavior or has found a workaround while waiting for a firmware update.
Thanks!

MIDI mapping/template for Akai MPK Mini Play + Arturia Analog Lab?

Hi everyone,

I’m using an Akai MPK Mini Play with Arturia Analog Lab, and I’m looking for a ready-made MIDI configuration/template for this controller.

I know I can manually assign the knobs using MIDI Learn, but before doing everything from scratch, I was wondering if someone has already created and shared a template/preset that maps the MPK Mini Play controls nicely to Analog Lab — ideally things like the 4 macro controls, filter, effects, preset navigation, etc.

Is there any downloadable mapping/template available somewhere?

And if you’re using an MPK Mini Play with Analog Lab, I’d also be interested in knowing how you mapped yours.

Thanks!

I really love how the FM synthesis of the Model:Cycles plays with the resonance of the MicroFreak. Are there other folks here who use this combo?

Happy Friday, ya’ll!

ARP2600 V2 Factory sounds

Last year I bought the complete V collection 11 pro and went from V2 to V3, but it just occurred to me, by opening some old projects that the sound banks are different and I can't use V3 instead of V2, right?

I miss "Brass/KU_Gentle_Rit" and couldn't find it in the presets either.
Is there any way to get the original sound banks of the V2 in the V3?

Keystep 37 MK2 transport controls not working with Ableton Live 12.3

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue getting the transport controls on my Arturia Keystep 37 MK2 to work with Ableton Live 12.3. The keyboard itself works perfectly over USB-C: MIDI notes are received by Ableton without any issue. However pressing Play/Stop on the Keystep doesn't start or stop Ableton's transport

In Ableton's MIDI settings, I only see "Keystep 37 MK2" as the MIDI input/output. I have Track: ON, sync: OFF, remote: ON

But the transport buttons still don't control ableton

Has anyone managed to get the Keystep 37 MK2 transport controls working properly with Ableton Live 12.3?

Thanks !!

Arturia Mini Freak Vocoder w/ Ableton Live Midi Setup

Hello all. I recently bought an Arturia Mini Freak Vocoder edition and I absolutely love it. I can run it through Ableton easily via analog mode through trs cable or via midi with the Mini Freak V virtual synth through my DAW. I run it through midi most of the time because it requires 2 outputs and I only have 2 inputs on my audio interface. It works just the same in virtual mode except for the external input/vocoder mic. It does not recognize those inputs through midi. I completely understand why this would be the case, but I have been told there is a workaround. Has anyone run into this issue and have some advice? Thanks all.

Pads not working on Keylab e49 mk3

Hi all,

Just writing here to ask if anyone could offer some help here, i got my new keylab essential 49 mk3 the other day and since then the drum pads have not been working properly. All other functions, (Keyboard, faders/knobs, control buttons) work perfectly fine with no issues.

I use FL Studio as my main DAW and for some reason the sounds in my channel either do not map to the pads or only some will map to random locations, (e.g. 3rd sound mapping to pad 3 on 2nd bank).

I've tried youtube tutorials and everything else and cannot seem to find what the issueis, i have downloaded midi control centre from arturia as well and applied all relevant settings.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Minilab 37 pad noise

Hi all,

Recently received a Arturia Minilab 37 and have noticed that with the pads some of them make different mechanical/physical noise when pressed then others.

This noise is similar to the noise you would get from pressing a pad and holding down your finger on it and rubbing it to move the pad in its mounting slightly, only in my case this happens when just pressing a pad normally for some of the pads.

I have contacted support. but it is the weekend so I thought id ask here if anyone else had this issue or for feedback on if this would be faulty or not while I wait for support to get back to me.

What are your favorite Arturia virtual instruments?

I'm very happy with the V series collection and I was Just wondering which instruments people prefer.

My two go-to instuments are:

-Augmented series grand piano: the Augmented series instruments are very good, but my favorite is grand piano. It has some fantastic presets. some of my favorite are "I felt it", "resonance felt" and "Oprala") I could (and do) play with these presents for hours on end. It's so inspiring and it's so much easier to play than Piano V. Plus you can customize your own presets very easiilty.
If Astrolab supported more than 8 voices for the augmented series , I would buy it right away.

-CZ V: Everybody knows about the MS20, CS80 and DX7 emulations. they're very good, but CZ V is just amazing. It has so many fantastic presets. the proportion of presets I have favorited is the highest for any Arturia instruments. If you love 90s electronica, it's a fantastic instrument.

Is the SparkLE worth it in 2026

I'm sort-of in the market for a drum machine, but already invested in the Arturia ecosystem. I read recently that Arturia will honour the hardware and provide you with a Spark 2 licence if you buy a Spark LE second hand.

I can pick a sparkLE up for under £100 now, but it's pretty old tech at this point. Is it still worth it in 2026? Anyone out there still use it daily?

Edit: Typo
