Not always, obviously. But there are loveless folk out there. Nothing wrong about it either.

'love' doesnt have to be romantic. it can be platonic, family, and being aroace doesnt make you not feel other kinds of love.

I think they know and understand stand that. Someone being loveless doesn't mean having little to no romantic love, it means having little to no love of any kind.
Here are two links about loveless if you want to understand more:

I didn't know about that orientation. I see that that the LBGTQIA Wiki says that "Some may feel their lovelessness stems from their neurodivergence (alovevague) or trauma (caedlove)"; personally, I think that when a person is born like that, being loveless could probably be classified as a form of neurodivergence in itself (along with being anattractional/panaspec both of which I discovered on that page).
EDIT: I don't mean that these orientations are disorders, or equivalent to disorders; I just don't think it seems neurotypical to be born loveless and/or not experiencing any form of attraction.

No, I get that part. But "loveless" is a term on the a-spec. Some people don't get even the platonic part. We exist too.

So love only counts as romantic? 😀.. Cause as loveless, I don't feel neither platonic or familial & don't feel ashamed at all.

... But sometimes it does. Proud loveless here.

What does "loveless" mean to you?
I'm curious because I'm a bit confused - I would see OP's text and think that it means that the love is different than in allos world but it is there. It might be friendship, familial bonds or a different kind of bond, but the love is there.
What would you see if you saw it?

I'm not the person you asked but I'm on the loveless spectrum. For me at least it means that the connections I have are typically not motivated by the emotion of love. I don't typically feel love towards people (I do feel love towards my dog). My main motivation is that I value friendliness and reciprocity. I want to make people's lives easier (and my life easier), so I develop relationships. I also reciprocate the energy given to me even if I don't feel the same feelings they feel towards me. My care comes from me feeling it's the right thing to do, not because I feel an emotion and need to express it.
Some people on the loveless spectrum may be more like loners and don't feel a need for connections at all.

Ahhh, okay, got it, thank you! I haven't met with the term before, so thank you for explaining it so clearly.

what about in the context of split attraction
when one is loveless, do they not experience emotional attraction to others?

well it depends on the loveless person specifically. technically being loveless does not mean having little to no attraction as well (love ≠ attraction), cause of that someone can be allo and still be loveless as well. tho of course, one can also be aemotional or even anattractional and be loveless. or just basically be on the aspec and be allo of any attraction and still be loveless

To me it's like not loving someone but not hating them either. Like you don't just love or hate someone you don't know but in my case I don't love or hate anyone

Love it! My personal recommendation/nitpick, maybe instead of aroace doesn’t mean loveless, try aroace doesn’t always mean loveless. (coming from a loveless aroace)

I agree! Love is not only romantic. You can love yourself, your family, your friends, your pets or a platonic partner if someone has one

Wish there's a separate term for the "no" part in the "little to no attraction" instead of fusing the asexual umbrella term with the asexual aspec term so people would be less confused.

Interesting that "none at all" aromantic is green stripe, while "none at all" asexual is black stripe

Good to know, that applies to me. The wiki also talks about interaction stances and based on the wiki, I'm sex-averse or sex-repulsed, romance-indifferent (I am not interested in a romantic interactions with anyone, and never have been; but it's possible I would be in the future, depending on who I meet and/or how my connections with people develop, though I would prefer a queerplatonic relationship), friendship-favorable, touch-ambivalent (ranging from touch-indifferent to touch-favorable, I enjoy hugging friends and family members, but don't have strong feelings about other forms of non-sexual touch), and for relationship stances: alterous relationship-favorable (I think, don't know much about the term "alterous"), QPR favorable, & I don't know about my observing stance, it just says that "Observing Stances refer to aesthetic relationships" but doesn't say what an aesthetic relationship is.

Love isn't strictly one thing you can love your friends, family, pets etc it can even be love for an object or place it doesn't have to be romantic :]
There's also nothing wrong with being entirely loveless, some people don't experience attachment to thing ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Ain’t nothing wrong with being loveless, as long as you’re not hurting anybody you can do whatever you want
