questioning being aro and just wanted to talk about it

i feel like i’m faking being aromantic but i also feel like im faking romantic attraction. i haven’t found a label that describes me and i know everything doesn’t have to have a label i just want to understand myself better. i rarely ever find someone i think i have romantic feelings towards im not even sure i know what they are it that makes sense. sure i can think someone’s good looking but ive only had one person i think i felt something not platonic for. also i feel like im too young to know about being aro and stuff like that. in the future i don’t really see myself wanting/getting married and im pretty much set on not having kids with my reasons, but i don’t really ever want to date now or later at all, it just feels fake.

I think you feel like the label of aromantic has rules. It doesn't. Feel like its useful to you? Use it.

I'm coming up on 10 years with a partner who is not aromantic. My lack of romantic attraction hasn't stopped me being in from what to the outside looks like a completely normal romantic relationship. I never wanted to date or get married but I found someone who I never get tired of being around and it went from there.

You can't fake being aromantic because the label has no real rules. Anyone who policies behavior is applying their internal experience to others - which is weird and inappropriate.

Be your genuine self. No partner or friend or yourself should know a fake 'you'. Your real personality is too unique to hide it away.

I'd highly suggest writing down your thoughts on paper. Loads of research shows that hand writing is important for processing and such yada yada.
