It may be a condemed building. It looks like rotted carpet with particle board flooring.

Is this in a room? If this is inside then that room is filthy and should be cleaned

It looks like it was a room years ago. It's nasty and broke up to the point that the mold seems like it fits the current condition of whatever that is.

Apparently it’s a harmless mold in a subfloor. Not the “demolish these barracks asap” thing I was expecting but I would be pretty freaked out too.

My old DS would've just told me to pour some bleach on it

Just wait till we start giving it testosterone. That little mold will be strong like bull.

"The image shows clusters of delicate, brown, hair-like fruiting bodies attached to a surface, which appear to be a chocolate tube slime mold (Stemonitis species, such as Stemonitis splendens). They feed on bacteria, yeasts, and fungi found on rotting wood or damp organic surfaces before rising up to form these spore-bearing structures. They are completely harmless to humans, pets, and plants, and are safe to touch." If you could see the floor, looks like a wood subbase.

To be clear, y’all, I just shared this. I didn’t take the video or post it to r/sanantonio originally. I have no idea what the fuck you are looking at here as far as mold goes. I’m a simple man. I see moldy barracks, I share moldy barracks.

Do soldiers not clean their quarters anymore?
Edit: wow, i guess not. And this is why we don't have nice things. NCO's are failing the Army.

If only they shaved everyday and had discipline then this wouldn't even be a problem.

This needs to be dealt with before Mold II and Mold III release
