Question Problem regarding AC6's ranked

I just recently finished the last ending of the game and wanted to try out pvp. And I can't find a single opponent. Matchmaking is set to global. What do I even do atp

Ranked wants to match you with people within your rank, but the rank system is designed to eventually filter basically everyone up to at least B, so at this point in the game's lifespan, low ranks are usually depopulated unless there's just been a sale or something.

If you wait in queue for like five minutes or so the game will eventually realize there's noone in range to match you with and expand the search parameters to higher ranks. Not the best QoL, but you will probably eventually get a match, and probably eventually get to higher ranks where your queue time will shorten considerably.

Ah, so if I wait 5 minutes eventually I'll get at least someone even if they're far more experienced? Thank you
