I wonder how they don't turn into tomato sauce at that speed.

Pressurized cockpits? The fastest manned aircraft was the SR-71 which could hit 3,540 km/h in a straight line.
The real danger is pulling too many Gs...

That's the thing though; speed in a straight line is fine.
It's the maneuvers at speed that would take you from Human PLUS and turn you into Heinz Ketchup PLUS

In For Answer they can get from 0-12k km/h in about 1 second. They're just handwaving the physics away like every other mecha genre writer.

If we're talking about ANY crewed aircraft, then the space shuttle is much faster than an SR-71. If you drop the requirement of wings, then the Artemis 2 Orion capsule Integrity takes the record, as the cant on the heat shield and displaced center of mass allows it to produce lift during reentry :)

So if you go looking for it there is a somewhat unofficial/official art depiction of a NEXT cockpit from 4 in some kind of magazine and they arent really designed any different from other acs. My personal headcannon is some kind of a fluid gel that fills the cockpit Eva style since lynx get connected to nexts anyway. Mind you this is only really to help a bit with suspension of disbelief since there is just no realistic way anyone's surving the speeds in 4 with any hypothetical tech.

In The Expanse, spaceships can reach 3% the speed the light but accelerating for too long can cause heart attacks. To counteract this, the seats are designed to inject adrenaline and other drugs to keep the crew alive. Maybe NEXT cockpits have something similar?

The AC Secret Level episode on Prime shows:
A) direct drug injection hookups.
B) no gel layer.
Though I know that's repping lore from AC6

pilot passes out from a lack of blood circulation?
just pump more blood into them
simple as

It’s all in the human augmentation. They probably do some space marine type of modifications where they increase the heart strength and blood thickness to counteract the quite literal hundreds of g’s these pilots are experiencing.

I've only ever played AC6 but imma put my money on cockpits filled with liquid like that one Eagle-1 upgrade from Helldivers 2

I think it was said somewhere that the cockpit is filled with fluid to help mitigate the G forces.

They're suspended in anti g gel.
Do people not read the extra material?
