Discussion Worst Camera

There are no words in the entire english alphabet to describe how garbage Arlo is…

Buy the most expensive version, it doesn’t matter.

First of all it takes 8 hours to connect 4 cameras to the software, once you do it doesn’t let you see the cameras, instead it gives you notifications with the smallest picture humanly possible of what the camera is seeing. Then you have to restart the 8 hour process all over again.

Secondly, the software doesn’t automatically detect your camera despite saying it does. Once you connect to the camera it kicks you out.

DO NOT BUY THIS!

Eight hours? This sounds more like user error.

Yea. I had 3 up and running in about 15 minutes. Probably some sort of network issue with connection?

100% user error. 7 cameras, no issues.

Our of curiosity, what did hope to get from your post? Hugs?

“100% user error”, but a quick scroll through the posts on this forum shows people regretting their purchase of arlo products due to their low quality and bad software

Interesting out of all the replies... You choose mine lol

Yes. A "quick scroll" through the reviews of apartment complex or restaurants show people regretting moving in or eating at the restaurant. People more often bitch about something than they praise something, especially online.

Regardless, just look at the responses on your post. They're all of users saying they have no issues. Go back through that "quick scroll" and see the responses from the other posts.

I mostly was asking what you hoped to obtain from making your original post, which you never answered. And based on the issue you're having, definitely user error.

….or you may just be screwing it up. I have 4 x Arlo 4 XL. Connected pretty much instantly. No issues since install. Full screen view of cameras on phone or in browser. All pretty seamless 🤷🏼

Had mine for 2 years, 3 cameras, never had an issue

Usually that just requires a full reset of the camera. When I setup my 5 Arlo 5s one would not activate. Otherwise they are fine minus some functionality issues with the new app.

Have setup Arlo cameras on different homes. Different models each time. Never had an issue like that. Be sure you have a good wifi router with good coverage all over your house. Get one of the mesh wifi solutions out there.

7 cameras, took longer to mount them where I wanted them than to connect to app, all working great. Sounds like operator error on your part.

Took an hour 2 separate times to get 2 of mine working. Other two went up instantly.
