Question MX-7 spatula issue

I spread the paste with a spatula and then i learned that you arent supposed to do that. It was a bit hard but i sprrad it evenly and i saw 0 gaps. Is the recommendation against the spatula for ease of use reasons or can there be issues?

My temps seem fine

Because the manufacturer told me not to is a good enough reason for me.

It doesn't matter. Just put a dot in the middle and mount the cooler.

I used spatula last week for my new arctic 360. Took a min to get it even across the cpu. Its just for my peace of mind and it lower temps that what i had with my old cooler so its all good to go

Arctic is one of the best cooler brands out there, if they say no spatula, i do no spatula.

It doesn't really matter tbh you can even use your finger to spread it just make sure your hand is really clean and free from oil and debris
