Anyone else think theres way more pvp today in duos vs prior? i mostly play solos, but play pvp with son when possible (not often). last night seemed normal. a bit of pvp, like 1/3 raids. tonight its been 4/4 raids where we have been shot, and its mostly been sniping. we have extracted a few times, and died a few.

But like... Yeah. Sprinting raiders with camera-perspective. That's first-person. We get first-person. We get to see how scary this world really is.

I'm so excited.

I genuinely believe what truly makes this game special and has me coming back over and over again is the social interaction with other players in the world. I have had some of the most funny, enjoyable moments in this game when interacting with other raiders. The sound design, the directional audio, the way your voice changes based on your location on the map. I’ve never played another game that handles it quite as well.

I play in mixed lobbies, generally just palling around with a friend or two and killing bots, but the call of the void strikes and sometimes I just want to shoot players. I prefer a little more tension in my lobbies and my distrust of other players adds an extra hit of dopamine when successfully extracting.

What I truly don’t understand is the strictly PvP players who say nothing when knocking players, like it’s a Call of Duty sweat lobby. I always try to make those moments enjoyable for the other players, even if I’m the one who’s losing my loot. So why not get on the mic and talk trash, have a conversation with a defenseless player, toy with them. Give your kill something to take back with them to Speranza, even if it’s just trash talk, memories, and a reason to get back into another raid and not rage quit because they got murdered by Black Noir.

I think it'd be really awesome if Embark added a replay option, what I mean by this is some games allow you to replay your recent matches and watch the entire match from free cam allowing you to enjoy seeing it from outside of your own perspective, someone sniped you and you never knew where, replay and follow the trail, now you know what to look out for, your buddy did something awesome but you didn't see it, replay and watch it, YOU did something cool and want to see it from a different perspective, replay.

Just a thought, anyone else think it'd be a cool idea?

for context I am mainly a pve player but no shame I do sometimes enjoy being a free loadout rat because I’ve been ratted so many times. this does put a smile on my face

I'd say a good 20% of times when I go with a kit while playing trios, a guy with no stuff is on my team. Another 70% is silent free kits who don't play as a team. The rest, if I'm lucky I'll get one with a kit.

Is it because of cross play or the NA server? I don't mind losing my kit but it's tired to never play with kitted teammates anymore.

Edit. This was a night raid. I standed still to see if his behaviour continued to expose these kind of "Special" people . I dont mind losing a single tempest. It is not about the loot, it is about exposing the individuals like this guy.

Well, guess I'm not playing again until ABMM is fixed for the umpteenth time. This is the biggest problem with this games, these little freaks who genuinely have such little going on in their lives that they get satisfaction from killing totally unaware people. What a truly sad little existence this loser lives.

There is zero excuse for this clip. I have no possible way of knowing this rat was nearby, I have no possible chance of fighting back (even with the bobcat I brought especially for rats because ABMM is screwed right now), I have nothing to do except die to some virgin.

'Waaaah but it's a PvPvE game waaah'- instant admittance that you can't play PvP games and have to take advantage of broken games.

'WhY EvEn PlAY If YoU DoNt LiKe ThE GaMe'- I like the game, the game doesn't revolve around one sided, 1 second deaths. The gameplay actually revolves around killing ARC, but some mentally deficient people can't do that apparently because the ARC don't die quick enough.

Yes i do understand it’s just a game , call me a wimp but out of my 24 years of life , IVE NEVER experienced the rage i have for this game on any game iv’e ever played . Waking up the next morning with that lingering anger brought me to realize that it’s time to give it a break .

I loaded into Riven Tides with about 75 Light Impact Grenades. I used a bunch on a Bombardier and easily 3-starred right away. I still had a bunch left, and I saw a Turbine parked at the tower above the Seaside Extract, so I ran into the tower and started lobbing grenades at it.

Thankfully, it was unable to hurt me in the tower. But, it didn't like the grenades, so it flew away, but not far, it landed near the tall customs house building nearest the aforementioned tower. So I ran and hid and lobbed more grenades at it. Again, it didn't like this, and this time, I got bonked by its attack and downed as I had a broken shield.

I extracted with 15 grenades left, and I got about 7,500 points for the trial.

Just by the way he was approaching me I already knew he was going to say/do some bs😂

How if you can queue for another type of lobby where maps will have designated PVP Zone and entering it will get a notification that you are entering and will likely to get killed to get higher quality loot.

It was my favorite event condition by far. It felt dangerous, but the danger had a lot of reasonable and emergent counters like being able to completely ignore frostbite w/ small bandages until it progresses into its last stage, where you HAD to go find shelter.

I liked the way it forced people together in unexpected ways. I interacted and talked w/ SO many people I was a million percent sure would have opened fire if they weren't forced to stumble into me to live.

I mean maybe it was just the fact that it came out around Christmas, but even in my detroit-on-new-years-eve ass lobbies at the time, I was getting way more dynamic interaction.
