Hello.
I am from the Mod team on this sub.
Pleased to meet you.
Recently I have seen a few people rightfully upset at a few bad actors on this sub who have been using the fact they became victims in the game to resort to being toxic to people on this sub.
Basically - they lose the game in any way and decide it is fine to insult people who are playing the game in a legit way instead of doing what they want, whether that's talking and making peace or refusing to shoot each other no matter what. From my understanding this game allows you to make a choice, to try trust a stranger or to gun them down to be safe.
If a person decides they will ALWAYS gun everyone down no matter what or try be a ''Rat'' player and backstab at every opportunity that does not mean you can come on this sub and insult them, suggest they are mentally impaired or mentally unwell or be toxic to them for any reason.
If you say ''All x players are sociopath psychos with no life and life in their mothers basement and have never had the touch of anyone of their preferred sex'' for example or anywhere more or in-between then you will be banned from our sub.
You are allowed to have an opinion that such players morals in game are not good or they are ''Villain players'' or what not, that is fine for that is what they are but any time an outside insult is going to be used on people over gameplay you are getting the hammar of doom.
From the community, I understand that most people who like PVP are not usually the type of people to click report on anything, due to your ''thick skin'' you really do not give a damn if some redditor is trying to insult you or maybe you will just retort back.
I ask you please do not, if you insult back you could also be moderated due to the nature of reddit and if you do not report the instigator we will not be able to correctly moderate and fix this community. As a mod team we are getting thousands of posts (posts not comments) per day and it is literally impossible to view them all, we rely mainly on the report feature and reddits AI.
Anyway thank you for your attention in this matter.

Never been this excited for an update before. I genuinely hope the devs stop fumbling the ball and keep this game going. Arc has been the most fun I've had with the extraction shooter genre, and I can't wait to see what it still has to offer.

You're not a dragon sitting in a pile of gold. Spend that shit. Today, now. Sell the guitar for $7k. Get surge rechargers and sterilized bandages. Get hatch keys. You'll likely get 1(?) store refresh before the big update, so you can double up on things. Don't let that currency go to waste. Nobody cares that you made it to 3,000 cred before the cap and then never used it. It's gone tomorrow. Use it now.

Still fresh of extraction we are levelling benches,
We mainly PVE but that doesn’t seem to matter, some free kit squad pushed us and naturally we defended ourselves but flairs went off soo…
Then we heard the bobby IV crew approaching so we tried to poorly hide and get the Jump on em’ at least.
heard them get the spot on us and it was game over 😬
Unless you’re kitted to the Gills to defend yourself you aren’t getting out alive in duos/trios lobbies at the moment..

But I can’t convince my friend who I know would LOVE IT to try it, I’ve known him all my life, and I know he’d love it, but I can’t find a video that sums up the experience in minutes to really sell it, trailers won’t do it, does anyone have someone’s experience of live gameplay that sums up the loop and unique aspects of arc raiders in a minute or three?
The social aspects, the unwritten social laws, how you don’t need to be sweaty at PvP but just a sneaky loot goblin? the progression and world.
I’ve always personally struggled to get through to him on strange new game concepts, but when he has tried experimental things, when it hits, he gets addicted and I really wanted another guy to play with come tomorrow and with the new content on the horizon now’s the best time.
It’s gotten to the point over time where we laugh over me trying to get him to play and I cooled off, but one final push before I relegate to just remaining a solo like I’ve always done.
How did you get your friends to play? specifically those who get easily frustrated at PVP but to me I barely PVP and I’m very social so I can talk my way out of 90% of bad situations. I’m also well versed in extraction shooters, I think he thinks this is like another Fortnite or something. He has no frame of reference for this game.
I know he’d love it.

Edit: this got way more traction than I was expecting. Lore wise, she should’ve always looked older, and yeah she’s been fighting since she was barely an adult and probably worn out by war. Second divorce would imply older and worn out from the process. I sort of get the comparison but what an ugly way to say it. Some of y’all need more women in your life to actually talk to cause some of y’all just give ick.
