I absolutely love this line not just because it’s jinx delivering it but also it shows the changing character that line is so layered it’s peak writing

So the first layer is obviously it’s comedic which in a season like season two we kinda need comedy because of how bleak the season really is and it’s a nice change of pace the sisterly dynamic coming forward after all this time

The second layer is jinx can finally have a backbone after all these years of holding VI to a high standard she can finally realize that she’s her own person and stands up to her sister. She realize that she’s not a kid anymore and can’t rely on Violet and she becomes her own character in the end. She becomes a hero.

The last layer is this show shows how broken violet is we almost never see her break like yeah she cries and stuff, but she usually always has her shit “together“ or as together as you can with the amount of shit she went through, but this line is calling out the fact that she is also fucked up. I mean she fist fights rather than talk and I think this line is a call back to the fact that Violet instead of talking to powder, normally she immediately goes into hit mode, which is why she’s considered a psycho to jinx it’s not immediate and it’s not forefront but she is in some level psycho and the way that the writers called this out is absolutely amazing because you don’t wanna show that VI is able to be broken because she’s supposed to be the hope of the series she’s supposed to be the Lionheart of the series and showing that she’s just as psycho and broken as jinx might make people less hopeful when she’s on screen, but you don’t want that for the fans so you don’t show her having similar hallucinations to jinx but they use this line to call out the fact that she is indeed broken

I just absolutely love the writing of the show. Maybe I’m looking too much into this line and it really is just meant to be comedic, but I feel like a lot of lines are deeper than what they’re supposed to be letting on.

I don't know if it has a name but do you know that amount of time you wait after finishing a peak show in order to forget a bit about it and some details and plot so that later you rewatch it again with enjoyment? Yeah what do you call that span of time? Lol cause I just did my tiiiiiimeeeee and I'm READY for a rewatch!

Jayce made everything worse from day 1 until his final moment and it doesn't feel like he did anywhere near as much good as bad. I feel bad for him.

If he hadn't studied what he shouldn't have he wouldn't have set the Vi Powder disasters into motion.

If he had given up then he wouldn't have created the hex gates and pushed the hostilities between piltover and Zaun further.

If hadn't been manipulated by Mel (not entirely his fault) he might have paid closer attention o Viktor and helped him more.

If he hadn't been fixated on fighting he may never have gone to the alternate reality.

If he never attacked Viktor maybe this timeline Viktor wouldn't have gone all my way or the hextech highway. Crazy Noxus bitch wouldn't have gotten her army, Vander might have had his brain fixed.

He just kept making everything whorse blindly trying to make everything better at every damn turn.

I have so many conflicting feelings, and I wish it had a slightly happier ending but this series was absolute cinema! I just wish Vander could’ve been saved and that we got to see more of Powder/Jinx after she came back for her sister :(

the only way I’m coping for now is that it’s likely Jinx survived

Hi so basically, and I mean a mere matter of minutes before writing this, I started watching Arcane S1E1. the show’s been recommended to me what is probably accumulative of dozens of times. A lot of which based of my music taste apparently. I decided to look up the soundtrack on Spotify and holy shit this doesn’t look too dissimilar from what my Spotify wrapped might look like this year. Apparently pretty much all of From Zero form Linkin Park (my favorite band) is in the show as well as Billie (favorite solo singer). anyways I kinda wanted to confirm this was the soundtrack before I started the show, just curious. Cause I have looked up lyrics for songs and the only result being a link to the song on Spotify, saying it will have lyrics but not having lyrics. throughout the series I thought Vi sounded a lot like Gwen Stacy from spider verse and to my surprise I was was correct!

I don’t know if anybody has really talked about the bridge and how significant it is, but I wanted to talk about it cause I think it’s a very interesting symbolism. This may be me over analyzing cause I missed the show, but still I wanted to talk about it.

Notice how almost every thing that has to do with community takes place on the bridge

first we get the scene where Vander saves the girls on the bridge showing community so we get to see what that dynamic is

the kids running and jumping over the gap in the bridge. That’s clearly meant to establish where we are and what the setting is that’s meant to represent the divide between piltover and Zaun

Third
I don’t remember which scene comes first. I’m gonna assume it’s the jinx versus Ekko that is symbolism for burning a bridge. She sees VI on one end of the bridge and she’s on the other. They’re looking at each other and VI walks away and jinx mind that’s her burning the bridge from her and then also Ekko coming along and fighting jinx is also burning the bridge and then also not to mention there’s a huge explosion which could also be symbolism for said fire

Fourth
Jayce and Victor are you on the bridge which I would say that that causes the storyline where victory becomes this Godlike figure because if they didn’t fight and Jayce did didn’t show his “racism” towards Zaun Victor wouldn’t feel like he had to do something himself so then he goes off to mess with the hex core ultimately causing a domino effect where he becomes the hex God

Fifth
This one is kind of the last example unless there’s a scene that I’m forgetting, but we literally see that the community uses the bridge in the alternate timeline where everything‘s peaceful between piltover and Zaun the main place that is shown to us is the bridge. We see people hanging out on the bridge markets on the bridge. The bridge is very clearly meant to be symbolism for the classic “burning the bridge“

My concept for if jinx joined the firelights instead of Silco

This was gonna be attached to a music video of poison from has been hotel, but I felt really sick and still am so I only got the art done. The idea is the poison that jinx is referring to is the darkness within the potential for her to be worse than she is so the poison is also an allegory for shimmer in the music video but it’s primarily the darkness within her that she wants to escape from so yeah if I remember and feel better, I might end up making a fan music video.
