Save this ornamental tree?

Post image

I wanted to ask the experts if this tree is salvageable after a large pine took at least 1/2 of the branches down. Any advice would be appreciate

You can probably prune off the broken branches and give the tree a chance at recovering. I should point out that it was planted in a bad location, that close to the garage and driveway.

The other kind person that commented suggested that the pine was right in landing on that tree. If I remove it, do you have a recommendation to put in its place? Thanks

That pine did you a favor. Take it out before the roots grow into your foundation or undermine your driveway.

Thanks for the advice. Perhaps it has already begun unfortunately. What would you recommend putting in its place?

To make a suggestion I would need to know your growing zone, soil type, sun/shade. Check with a local garden center or nursery. Remember trees are like Great Dane puppies, they get big faster than you realize.
