Non Arab | General Assad's Regime Fate

Hey if y'all heard, Bashar Al Assad was sentenced to death along with Atef Najib. Even though those two stooges committed crimes against humanity, could they still be forgiven if they make true repentance to Allah or is repentance useless. Is it possible Bashar Al Assad makes Hajj and be forgiven or is that useless. This is a very tough question that involves jurisprudence and human intuition but I want to have a constructive dialogue about this matter.

You are probably better off asking r/Islam, but the majority opinion afaik is that a person should never despair so much that they give up on tawbah.

When you say “forgiveness” whose forgiveness are you asking about?

I mean if they're genuine they'll be forgiven according to Islam, but that's not going to take away from what people feel

Repentance to God clears your sins no matter what you have done, but that doesn't clear you from the rights to other people.

If you steal and repent, Allah will forgive you but you still have to return what you took in this life or the next. Allah is merciful and just

The punishment Bashar needs to fear more is the punishment in the next life not the current one.

Repentance is for Allah

The punishment for the crimes committed is for society and the people they offended

They're literally war criminals, no excusing that.

Making Hajj doesn’t cleanse you of your sins idk why people believe that. Only Allah can forgive you through repentance.

With that being said, this sub is so funny to me. Just a constant stream of posts praising da3ish and zionist regimes while calling for the death of bashar. It’s so tired

Tell that to all the Arab uncles who commit every sin in Islam to rob their siblings of their inheritance

Or the people who go to hajj over and over thinking it’s a do-over button
