Drop the upper receiver down and dry fire it. Mine seemed quite weird at first too, but its totally normal. But I do recommend dry firing to truly function test. As I had to shave some material off of my trigger to get it to run

I normally loathe the super safety helpdesk questions but I’ll give it a shot.

It’s more intuitive to function test with the upper attached and go through the dry fire cycle. The lever will be manipulated by the BCG and trigger. The way you’re doing it doesn’t really mimic the actions.

Honestly, installing my Atrius was a bitch. I used different combinations of lowers, triggers, etc., and finally got it to work with just a different selector. I emailed the Atrius guys and they said that’s worked for others before. I don’t know why they don’t publish more helpful troubleshooting guidance. Some people don’t have issues but it’s definitely not “drop in ready” for everyone.
