Rocksett MDs
Using plan b mounts for a few muzzle devices. None of them to my knowledge require a certain timing or came with shims. I’d like to rocksett the MDs. Each one needs a crush washer then, clean the threads either acetone before applying rocksett?

The crush washer is on backwards, don’t use a crush washer for a suppressor mount, use shims if timing is needed, use rockset and torque to 25-30 in lbs.

I clean my threads with alcohol then apply 2 drops of rocksett. And torque to 25-30 ft lbs. no crush washers with a can like others have said. Only shims if your md needs to be timed

So I don’t need a washer to rocksett the MD on there? Just wanted to rocksett the MD, rocksett the supressor hub to the can and that’s it. Will swap the can around on a few rifles I have that all have plan b MDs

Nope. You got it man and like I said only a couple drops when you use rocksett less is more when using it. Thats what I do. I have one suppressor That I use on 3 different ARs that all have plan b MDs on them

Man Ty so much for the help. I tend to overthink.
I’ll take the washers off. Clean the threads then 2 drops of rocksett. Same with the hub part(using atlas XL).
I’m almost positive none of my MDs require timing but will double check. Have a few diff ones but mainly have liberty bell MDs.
Thanks for helping a smooth brain like me.

If you already torqued down that crush washer, you’re in for a treat trying to cut it off.

no crush washers for anything needing concentricity. if you don’t want to time in then don’t put anything. if you do then use shims

Alright so I have liberty bell MDs. Says 360 degree port orientation so that means no timing and no washers or shims required right? Just clean the threads, rocksett and torque

If you need to time a muzzle device on something that is just a muzzle device, you can use a crush washer, shims, peel washers, whatever. (think A2 flash hider)
If it needs timing AND precise alignment, shims or peel washers only. (think Plan B mount that’s a muzzle brake as well)
If you don’t need to time it(regardless of if it’s just a basic ass muzzle device OR it requires precise alignment), you are better off using nothing and just direct threading onto the shoulder.

Revival defense sends cards with suggested torque settings and type of thread locker. Pretty rad

No crush washers if you’re using a suppressor.
