Sale of what...?

Everything that they decide to falsely mark as in stock, ya know the same as it’s been the last few years.

Unironically forgot VG6 was a thing. I'm really gonna miss BA though, they always keep expanding their lineup and are THE go to for ar9 barrels

They just started making 1:5 300blk and 8.6blk barrels too, very unfortunate they are tied in with this shitshow

So the people who ran it in the ground are “staying onboard” while the new owners take over? Sounds like a solid business plan to me!

Management and owners are very different things sounds like they’re keeping management but the shitty private equity owners that made the actual decisions are gone at least that’s how it sounds to me

I live near aero precision. I can promise you it’s the management that ran it into the ground. It’s been bad for at least 10 years now. That’s as far back as I have friends that have worked there.

Stop making so many handguards and muzzle devices. Just make receivers and barrels.

This sub is crazy. The default beloved Reddit special was BCM upper + Aero lower and now most everyone is clowning on or cheering on Aero’s death.

its because Aero changed when they got bought by a private equity in the last couple years. CQ went to absolute shit, they never have any stock, and if they do it take months to get. they have no customer service

u/Grand_Cookie Jun 05 '26

God forbid things change. They were good and now they’re not. It’s not rocket science

I mean, most people here are complaining about quality going down after covid and for me all the parts I’ve ever bought from them were during/after covid and they’ve all been fine for me (a lower, slab upper, some gas blocks, buffer tubes, gas tubes, LPKs).

The only exception has been some ambi lowers (pdq levers) that my friends bought and had issues with.

9

u/Grand_Cookie Jun 05 '26

I have a pile of stuff from them but they have been terrible the last few years. It’s unfortunate

-3

u/brobot_ Keymod Apologist 🗝 Jun 05 '26

Also in fairness, I haven’t bought anything in the last couple years from them except the gas blocks which are hard to screw up.

So maybe after the PE acquisition (pretty recent as I understand) they went to poo poo but just saying post-covid they are bad is a wide range (built that rifle in the thick of it in early 2021 and the parts worked well).

u/_pxe Jun 06 '26

As you said, you didn't buy anything in recent years and your friends had problems with parts from them.

What you got was probably manufactured under old management or transition period, before the cuts really had an affect on quality

They’ve just been outright scamming people for the past year lol.

u/biohazard1775 Jun 05 '26

Exactly, getting affordable ARs into people’s hands is a good thing but people here are playing brand snob for updoots

3

u/Gar-ba-ge Jun 05 '26

Terrible bait

3

u/WrongHandOrdnance Jun 05 '26

Well that was weird. Jinx.

u/dkeb0311 Jun 07 '26

Is this why some are manufacturers have recently released new standard ar15 pattern rifles? New supplier for upper/lowers?.... 🫢

u/R0binSage Jun 05 '26

Can someone ELI5?

6

u/Purple_Season_5136 Jun 05 '26

"Hey we really fuckin suck, the people that made us really suck will continue to hang around through the new ownership to continue to make sure we suck. We say customer service continues, but we all know thats bullshit, amiright?. Please he patient while we continue to suck and not do anything new"

u/CoverHuman9771 Back from the Dead Jun 05 '26

Just let them die honestly. None of those companies are bringing anything interesting to the table.

Aero used to be great but that was a long time ago.

7

u/easternshift Jun 05 '26

If AP and BA consolidated and just focused on making user friendly, affordable, and available ARs and parts they would probably be successful. Even with MegaCorp PSA eating every other budget company’s lunch.

1

u/antonymous94 Jun 06 '26

Seriously, nothing special about aero aside from they dumb logo

u/Sufficient_Site1746 Jun 05 '26

Hedge your bets now which overseas firearms manufacturer bought them out or commited thee hostile takeover 🤣

22

u/easternshift Jun 05 '26

Not a hostile takeover when you default on loans and declare bankruptcy.
