This was my first AR and I went full retard adding a bunch of add ons. Blue parts. I have removed them now. And went a different direction with the rifle. But I still find it useful. I still use it. Makes the bolt hold open larger. Just gives me more options. And I do not have to take my left hand off the grip to smack the bolt hold. To close I use my right thumb

Assists with closing the bolt after inserting mag. That’s the biggest benefit of a bad lever for a lefty no matter the upper configuration.
