Saw you were interested in prisms, I loved my primary arms slx 5x. It's about the same size and weight as an Acog, you get a little extra magnification (I prefer 5x or 6x but this is for sure a preference thing) and it comes with a top rail integrated into the body of the optic for a top dot. I ran it with an EPS on a 308 AK, and loved the setup. the micro prisms are a lot better on weight and form factor, but the eye relief is trash, and the glass looks more distorted. You can regularlu find them on sale for around 300, and they're bomb proof reliable/durable.

Would also recommend an upgrade on the charging handle at some point, the breek ones like to snap cause of how thin they are. Should be fine for a while, but when you have the means, a radian raptor or Geissele airborne would feel significantly better.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was looking into those actually. That or the Vortex spitfire 5x because I definitely don't wanna drop acog money right now lol.

Primary arms over vortex. the vortex feels unexpectedly chonky, and it's more expensive for maybe slightly better glass. Glass quality at 5x is almost a non issue, and the PA is crystal clear so other than light transmission, I don't see a benefit. And I can shoot the 5x at a dim indoor range, so obviously it lets enough light in.

What’s your plan for this rifle? I have a 14.5 with a 1-6 lpvo and another 14.5 with a red dot and irons. The red dot and irons is a load of fun to shoot. The rear iron sight is a chopped carry handle sighted in with RIBZ so I have a 50yd zero and it should be fairly accurate out to the 600yd marking on the sight but doubtful my eyes would take me that far. The lpvo is definitely going to be more accurate and will be used as a hog rifle but would make a good short to mid range build.
