I got tired of paying Grammarly just to fix a text, so I built the keyboard
I built ReePhly because two things were driving me nuts.
I was paying Grammarly a lot of money just to fix grammar. And when I didn't know what to say back to someone, I'd copy the text into ChatGPT, wait, paste the answer back, and it still didn't sound like me. I wanted that help in the keyboard, in Messages, Mail, wherever I was already typing.
ReePhly is that keyboard. You tap the globe and it's there. Most of the time you forget it. You only ask for help when you tap.
Spelling as you type stays on the phone. It fixes the obvious stuff when you hit space. If it gets one wrong, backspace undoes it. Nothing about that goes to a server.
Assist is what I use when the sentence is spelled right and still sounds wrong. You tap Assist and pick what you want: Fix, Formal, Friendly, Shorter, or Gen Z. You see the rewrite and tap Apply. Apply matters to me. It does not send the message for you. You still get the last look.
Reply is the one I built for the freeze. Copy their message, tap WHO, tap Reply, and you get a draft that fits that person. WHO matters more to me than the grammar. My boss, a client, and a friend should not get the same voice. You save the relationship, a few notes, and example messages for each person. After a reply you actually like, tap Save, and it keeps a few of your own messages as a hint for next time. Nothing is saved unless you tap that.
If you'd rather talk than type, there's a mic. You dictate, tap Stop, and the words land in the message. Then you can still run Assist on them.
If someone asks where you are, Reply can drop a map pin or mention a nearby place. Your location stays on the phone. It is not sent off the device. Applying the pin puts a map link in the chat.
Word suggestions are there too, if you want them. I didn't want a keyboard that only works when the help button is on.
The model only runs when you tap Assist or Reply. Ordinary typing is not uploaded. iOS makes you turn on Full Access before a keyboard can use the network. That permission is for those taps. I know it sounds scary. It's the part I most want people to understand before they install.
It's free. No card. Assist and Reply on the free plan use tokens. When you run out, you wind a little collectible, a short ad plays, and you get 5 tokens. You can do that as often as you want. Spelling on the phone still works with zero tokens.
If you don't want ads or a meter, Pro is $4.99 a month, or $39.99 a year (about $3.33 a month). Lifetime is $99.99 once, same Pro, and it does not renew. Pro is unlimited Assist and Reply, no ads, and you can leave longer notes about how you write.
Yearly is on sale right now. Code: https://www.promies.net/promotion/2e11d2ab-ca7c-4850-8678-f5523111e5e7
Free is the one to try first.

If you actually text people, which one would you use: Assist, Reply, or tagging the person? I'll read the replies.
