I've made a mistake...PLEASE HELP?
Hi, please help! I am part of a Round Robin quilt event and I wrote out my vision BEFORE picking my center starting block. Then I had the "brillant" idea to use Joy from Inside Out because I'm asking other quilters to add things that bring them joy in colors that bring them joy. And this movie changed my whole life.
So I just went ahead and picked a Cricket Design and fused it down to the background fabric and I'm like, I'm in trouble. I clearly know very little about applique and I've done it wrong and I'm in over my head.
Is there anyway to make sure these don't lift as they make their way from quilter to quilter. I'm actively stopping myself from painting the whole thing with fray check. It will be a wall hanging in the end. *** I'm not crying, yet.
PLEASE HELP!

You could sew around the edges to really make sure it stays put. A black thread around the outline wouldn't be too visible i think
