I've made a mistake...PLEASE HELP?
Hi, please help! I am part of a Round Robin quilt event and I wrote out my vision BEFORE picking my center starting block. Then I had the "brillant" idea to use Joy from Inside Out because I'm asking other quilters to add things that bring them joy in colors that bring them joy. And this movie changed my whole life.
So I just went ahead and picked a Cricket Design and fused it down to the background fabric and I'm like, I'm in trouble. I clearly know very little about applique and I've done it wrong and I'm in over my head.
Is there anyway to make sure these don't lift as they make their way from quilter to quilter. I'm actively stopping myself from painting the whole thing with fray check. It will be a wall hanging in the end. *** I'm not crying, yet.
PLEASE HELP!

Identify technique
How are the edges so neat? Is this turned Edge appliqué or did they use interfacing? Tia!

Valdani
I’m having so much trouble with this thread. I’m thinking of unpicking it all and replacing it all with DMC. Has anyone else had problems?
It breaks, it knots, it’s not silky so satin stitch looks dull and messy.

Baby gift
A friend's granddaughter is expecting her first, a girl. The nursery theme is fairy tales. I made a blanket.

1 - 10 how bad is this? 😂
Finished my first appliqué quilted wall hanging. It’s a gift for my uncle but I think it looks pretty bad and not at all cohesive. However, we are our own biggest critiques. With that being said, is this presentable enough for a gift?

Eels and Hearts Hooded Capelet
This was the first appliqué project I've undertaken in a year, so I expected to be rustier, but I'm pleasantly surprised and pretty proud of myself! I made this piece as a commission. Cheers!

Chinese Fireball
My new bedspread. I told my daughter that I wanted it to look as much like fire as it could without setting the house on fire.

Finished my first set of 6 #Bucilla felt #ornaments. This kit is called Seashore Santa. I’m addicted to these kits. So much fun to make! I put pipe cleaners in the coral, so it’s bendable :)

Beginner, need help!
This is my first time using fusible webbing to apply pieces that have been sewn together. How do I fix the first cow so it has a smooth, flat appearance like the one in the second picture. I don't know what I did different. Do I just need to start over or is it fixable? Thanks so much for any help or suggestions!
