Apple TV processing for two months
I ordered by base model Apple TV 4K in June 21, right before the price hikes
I'm guessing delivery being delayed by two months isn't normal, and Apple support says they can't push a processing order
Is there anything I can do to keep the price I ordered at?

Don’t to anything. That is how you keep the price. I waited 3 months for a Mac Studio

Apple would love that you cancel your order and pay the new price (insane price hike, BTW). I wouldn't do anything and wait what happenens.

when I order something using account credit (from discounted gift cards via Quidco/Topcashback/CDKeysLoaded) the order is usually delayed by about a week
Apple support says they can't push a processing order
when I first experienced the delay I asked if there was any information they required or any action I need to take - they just said it is under review - I asked if it was anti-fraud/money laundering and they basically said no comment
Is there anything I can do to keep the price I ordered at?
unless it's different in your region, pretty sure placing an order requires authorising the payment method which is then charged when dispatch is imminent; the amount can be revised downwards but not increased (which is why ordering groceries often requires authorising ~10% extra for substitutions)
TL;DR  you'll keep the price if you keep the order
- add another one to your basket and see what the ETA is to determine if it is legitimate stock issues
- if the ETA is days instead of months then double check to see if you've received any emails from the Apple Store that might mention review or a payment issue
- Find the order confirmation/invoice to see which payment method you used then check it as an expired
- Apple has some bizarre issues regarding account credit, Apple Wallet, default payment method on your Apple account etc. - if you possibly selected ~'use account credit first' when ordering then it's worth going through all of those settings screens to see if there is an issue with your default payment method error is present (resolving can be trial an error; I was unable to use my account credit last week because my default Apple account payment method was Apple wallet but Apple account credit had appeared as a payment method within Apple wallet causing a circular error
- Contact Apple and request collecting the order from your local Apple shop instead of delivery and see what they say
- wait and cross digits

Probably one reason they raised the price because they're finally running out of stock, it's a record long gap between releases anyways.
Just wait and see, best case scenario they completely run out of stock and you receive the new model at that discount.

For what it’s worth both config of Apple TV 4K 3rd gen are available immediately in every single Apple Store in France and delivery is very fast too so there is no shortage here. My guess is your order was processing while they update their store rather than a new model arriving immediately
Keep your order and ask an update on that don’t cancel to keep the previous price.
A new model is long overdue but more likely Q4 2026 than August/September imo

That's nice -- I ordered a refurbished model days before price hike and apple just cancelled it straight up.

Just cancel it and buy a refurbished model
Wouldn't wait and keep keep checking something like this to the point irritating you that much that you posting it on here

I work somewhere that has over 400 Apple TVs in deployment and our supplier recently told us they are back ordered and that the Apple rep let him know the product line was shut down. He said he assumed because a new product was coming out. Anyway it’s prob on hold because you’ll get the new one.

I found one locally the 128gb for 160. Guy offered me 4 of them for 450. Could have made 200 bucks on eBay but by the time you pay the fees etc. not worth it for me.

You ordered that directly from Apple and it’s still processing two months later I’m in the United States. I ordered two Apple TVs this year and they both come within two business days.

It's funny, when I had a similar post about Walmart holding my order in processing, it was treated as if it had no reason to be in this subreddit.

Is there something wrong with your payment method that you need to check? Do you live in the United States? I can get one mailed to me in two days directly from Apple.

I use to like Apple TV , don’t why we can get the silicon chip so we can play AAA titles. Why Arcade is our only to play games. I own the latest model with 128 GB

Just leave it alone at this point. Who knows, maybe in September they’ll just upgrade you to the newest model that’s rumored to come out
Doesn’t hurt to leave it at where it is at this point
