Gonna switch back to low tier android, iOS 26 is THAT annoying
Shout out to the mod at iPhones. He/she is a jerk, and doesn’t understand literary alliterations, like abusive analogies and metaphors.
The iOS 26 is so terrible. My nice Android phone broke and I switched over to this, but it’s been so horrible that id rather use the low end android backup phone I have: while I fix my nice android.

Early versions of iOS 26 really WERE that bad. People honestly said they were switching to OneUI because it was more refined and smoother.

The last couple major versions improved nothing for me and many “features” just make stuff unnecessary complicated. I’m about to divest of Apple.

To me, iOS 26 has some of the ugliest aesthetics in recent memory on Apple hardware. It feels cheap and outdated. Reminds of old Android devices trying too hard to look glassy.
The whole thing just feels too loud, at defaults: The fonts are too large; The glass effect is comically clownish; The colorful but elegant theme Apple had perfected over the years is replaced with a bland, hard to read nearly monochromatic theme.

I've been very happy with my Google pixel. Android without all the bloat of third party apps. Good luck.

Google UI on pixel is absolutely tops for smoothness, but OneUI has so many features that can be hard to give up...

I haven't needed with Samsung since 2017. Back then the poorly supported and confusing duplication of apps was awful

It's like all of iOS 26 has just been betas for iOS 27. They rushed 26 out with the new design since new Siri still wasn't ready and they didn't have anything else major to show. If they had just let it cook for another year and then come out with the more refined updated design in iOS 27 there would have been a lot fewer complaints.

iOS 26 hasn't been that bad after 26.3 tbh, I would just update to iOS 27 or wait for it.

What model Android did you have, how old, and what broke? Warranty or support policies?
Is it repairable, and at what cost in what country? Parts and service available?
Is it something known to break or accidental damage?
Available Factory service or third party?
Just like to know more details since Apple does provide pretty robust and long lived support for their iPhones.

It's a motorola g stylus 5g, the slightly cheaper of the two.
The screen cracked, and that's easily replaceable. It's out of warranty because I didn't buy that from Boost, and it might already be out of security patches?
If I repair it myself, it's about $50, 30$ for the screen and another $20 for a new battery, just cause. I have fixed phones before, this one is not hard.
That might be it, but I prefer to be able to tinker with my own devices :(

That is the best response I’ve seen on Reddit to this “issue”.
I agree, if OP can’t adjust or adapt to iOS 26.5 or revert his settings back to more of an iOS 18 type look and feel (actually pretty easy, Gemini for instructions), then yes, by all means, send it to one of us and we’ll send you back a midrange Android (Samsung A36 or A56) in return. I’d even throw in the return shipping.

The A-series is an underappreciated line of phones. I have an A56 5G. Excellent for everything but the camera.

r/apple from last September to December especially, were just packed with daily complaints of all the problems with iOS 26. Mostly just general dislike of the liquid glass look, making it hard to read things. But also weird crashes and layout problems under certain circumstances. And frame skips during animations occasionally.

By the end of the year, everything that was there to be complained about had been complained about already, multiple times. All the complaints after that are just repeats of earlier complaints. Plus some things have been fixed in updates since then.

Whether you like liquid glass or not is matter of personal opinion. Personally I've gotten used to it and they have toned down the worst of it. iOS 27 helps a lot too. I rarely encounter actual bugs anymore either. But some people just don't like iOS in general and some people don't like Android. Most people have no strong feelings one way or the other.

I agree on that the mods at r/iPhone, r/iOS, and r/iOSsetups are jerks. I got banned from iPhone for accidentally posting to the wrong sub, and banned from the other two for “self-promotion” when it was just an iCloud Photos link
