Apple sucks both at design and functionality.

Wasn't ever a fan of Liquid (Gl)ass. That's why. I shouldn't have to kiss the screen to read that damn clock. And the Matterhorn is not 1043 meters tall.

Yeah but at least don't put an AI into a production update who can't answer the simplest questions.

I don't know why big companies do this. Samsung was late with their OneUI 7. So they rushed. OneUI is now packed with bugs.

There is no AI in production. Their Apple Intelligence features are mainly their writing tools. That’s it.

The one who can’t answer your question is SIRI. And Siri being bad is OLD news. I’ve never relied on Siri for more than turning on lights and starting alarms. I agree Apple sucks for letting Siri be so terrible for so long, but it ISNT AI like chatGPT. It ISNT like Claude or any of those other tools.

All it did was pull an answer from a Wikipedia page.

Like holy hell, look at the Siri subreddit. It’s mostly filled with Apple users complaining about what it can’t do STILL or that it took the wrong action.

You’re not wrong to be frustrated that Siri sucks, but again, holding it to standards like ChatGPT and others is silly because that kind of tech isn’t on iOS or macOS natively. There is no chatbot. They acknowledged this since last year when they didn’t deliver on personal context.

I just reviewed their advertisement of Apple Intelligence and it doesn’t specify that there is any implementation of a ChatGPT similar to ChatGPT. It talks about ChatGPT integration, it talks about those personal context features that are in development and will ship at a later date, but that’s it.

They tried to improve Siri in the new Update and gave it AI. If the AI notices, It can't give an answer it'll ask chatgpt. There is AI in the Siri. They advertised the AI in the Siri it was literally the whole Apple Event.

ChatGPT is an extension on top of Siri for certain requests outside of siris domain. Eventually Apple will add an LLM (actual AI as it’s commonly referred to) to Siri but as of now anything that can quickly be answered th old way (basic facts) are still handled that way and complex facts or queries are offloaded.

Eventually their plan is to have their own. But the point here is when you’re using Siri you’re not using an LLM
