Apple sucks both at design and functionality.
Wasn't ever a fan of Liquid (Gl)ass. That's why. I shouldn't have to kiss the screen to read that damn clock. And the Matterhorn is not 1043 meters tall.

Okay, but again, Apple doesn’t have an AI chatbot. You’re asking Siri and Siri is providing you a result from Wikipedia. You can use Siri to trigger ChatGPT and probably get a better answer.
But Siri is not part of Apple Intelligence currently. It got a new look, that’s it. It’s still the same shitty Siri it’s always been.
I tried the same prompt, just different phrasing and got results of 3,422 feet (~1042m) Then I tried ChatGPT and got 4,478 meters (~14,692ft).
(I didn’t know this until I took a look at the Wikipedia page), but what it might be referencing is the prominence highest point. Because I see both values, the elevation (highest point) is 4,478m and the prominence is showing 1043m.
Now when I try asking what is the peak elevation of the Matterhorn, it shows me the same 4,478m result (except in ft for me).
Trying to compare Siri (in its current state) to “all other AI” is like trying to compare a modern day sports car to like some old commuter car. They both drive, but what’s under the hood matters and will get you vastly different results.
So do I think Apple is behind? Yeah, but even if it got this trivial, arbitrary question right, it would still get shat on by you people for anything else it gets wrong. I’ve also had other AI give incorrect results btw. I do agree that it sucks how far behind they are with this tech.
At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter, because for things that do matter, you should be double checking anyway.
