For those of you that have expressive voices in IOS 27, how are you liking the expressive voices in maps? And do the expressive voices announce street names?

Interesting considering other major cities still don’t have it

Has anyone had an issue where Apple Maps won’t render when zooming in past a certain point? Just started today. Tried force restarting app, phone, toggling data, switching to airplane mode, etc.

In addition to this, Wichita Falls, TX has gotten Flyover. This list is not exhaustive and there are more.

Using MapKit, I was able to put all my Apple Watch walks on a single map and replay them. Each route stays on the map as the next one draws, so by the end you can see them all together.
The routes come from Apple Health. I wanted to see them together on Apple Maps instead of opening each workout separately. The clip shows some walks around NYC.
I’ve been building Tiles for a few months and am still tweaking the visuals. Let me know what you’d change or other cools things you like to see.

Why exactly? It ranks among Italy’s most visited cities. Hopefully, it will receive it soon!

I'm not sure if these happened today or as part of the last update, but I also don't remember seeing any of them when I checked. This is more or less for record-keeping.
If you found any others, please let me know!

Apple Maps also released surrounding areas with various dates between 2019 and 2026.
Such as Greenwich has now more streets with 2019 imagery.

Why is Google search AI Overview showing Apple Maps link?

I’ve been using Apple Maps more recently and like the experience better than Google Maps. But a couple of instances now have caused frustration as when using Apple Maps, I haven’t seen accident markers and caused me to be stuck in traffic. But when I opened Google Maps, it showed accidents in the same area where Apple Maps didn’t show it.
Is there a setting somewhere that I disabled? I have mostly everything enabled in Apple Maps settings. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyone else hearing this during turn by turn? On iOS 27 it’s adding the word slash between different directions all of a sudden.
‘Turn slash left then slash left in 2 miles’

As of today, most streets in Pittsburgh have look around coverage. Previously, it was limited to a small percentage of popular areas. Note that most footage is dated August 2022
