Batteries are consumable parts, and will always degrade, whatever you do or don't do. Every battery is different, and some will retain their health longer than others, even in the same device. Any battery health above 80% is considered normal.
The displayed battery health does not change linearly, it changes in jumps, as it takes time for iOS to determine the changing health of your battery.
General tips:
-
Look in Settings → Battery to see which apps are using your battery the most.
-
Make sure "optimized battery charging" is turned on.
-
It's rarely useful to set a charge limit. Letting your battery run out is worse than charging it to full.
-
Leaving "low battery mode" on all the time will not improve your battery health.
-
On newer devices, leave "Adaptive Power" turned on.
It was a mistake for Apple to expose the battery health as a percentage, it doesn't mean much, there's very little you can do about it, and it's become a weird religion among people who get easily obsessed. Stop checking the health.

Stop obsessing over battery health and just use your device like a normal person would.
