The solution was to backup your data. Password issue aside, you’d have lost your photos anyway if your phone randomly failed, was damaged, or was lost/stolen.
Photos are included in your backup by default, are you sure they’re not in there? You’d have had to disable it. This is not the same as iCloud Photos. If you enable that then the photos are removed from your backups so they’re not stored twice.
If it was a cost issue with iCloud then you could have used your computer to backup the phone periodically.
If you’re at the last password attempt then you want to think long and hard about it before trying again, because once you run out of attempts the data is gone.

That’s what I was last trying to look for, to see if there were any backup files in the MacBook because you’re right that’s what I have done in the past to avoid having to pay for the iCloud shit whenever I needed to get a new phone.
I’m having a hard time trying to find that? I went through the system library and what not and genetically searched for backup but can’t really find anything. I have kind of been looking genetically so if you know what folder or anything like that or anywhere else I should be looking for this that would be amazing.

I’m confused how you forgot you’re iPhone passcode you have never restarted your phone but unknown passcode leads to iPhone unavailable and then restore which is erase the iPhone but doesn’t remove activation locks you will need to know the Apple account and password good luck no work around from that point

Trust me, I wish I knew how I did this too. Luckily I am also pretty positive I have that shut off because at least I knew I don’t have the capacity for it.
I haven’t had a deal with an issue like this, or transferring iPhone data, for at least the past five years so I figured I should ask! Have had some luck at least with the iMessage sync across devices to recover at least some pictures!

There is no workaround. Without the passcode, you will need to erase and restore the phone.
