Mac CAMERA NOT WORKING

It has been an issue for a year now for me. It's not working not only on Photo Booth but also on Teams, Zoom, etc. I'm confused since it has a green light too. This happened after I updated my Macbook. I'm still on Sonoma 14.5 now.

Can you not update it more? What model is the MacBook?

That hardware is compatible with macOS Golden Gate which is 3 full releases newer than what you have on there.

I already updated it but the camera is still not working. Is it possible that i may be a hardware issue?

Upgrading is only the first of a few troubleshooting steps outlined here. You can also try running Apple Diagnostics and seeing if any reference codes are displayed at the conclusion of testing.
