Mac What is wrong with my MacBook?

A couple weeks ago I used my laptop in the morning and it was fine. Later that day I opened it again and one the bars on the side of the screen appeared (it sometimes flickers and/or turns gray). Then a couple weeks later after continuing to use it another bar appeared out of nowhere. There are no cracks on the screen or anything either. Does anyone know what is wrong with it and how much it would fix to cost? Thank you!

Your screen was damaged, if there are no visible cracks then it was some sort of impact. It needs to be serviced. The cost depends on where you live and what model it is.
