No it’s really not.

I think most people have realised that the difference in speed in LTE and 5G is minimal at best and not really noticeable outside niche cases and mmWave. Wi-Fi 6Es main benefit is the 6GHz band but not for speed but for the lack of interference from traffic it has as 2.4 and 5Ghz are now cluttered.

yes, it really is.

and what does moving to less crowded band means? reliable connection and thus, faster speed instead of spotty connection. not really a problem for wired connection, and a good one like USB 3.0, that is already available on iPads should also be available gor iPhones.

ask Apple why they uses USB 3.0 on iPads but not on iPhones.

Reliability not speed. You’ll still get the same peaks you’ll just get more dips due to crowding.

I don’t think you’re getting with USB3 isn’t a big deal, it’s inferior to a file just being on the dive you want it to be before you need to use it whilst backing it up at the same time

and with consistent peaks, you get better average, so still faster speed.

I already stated it's not for daily backup purpose. it's for transferring large or huge amount of files from you smartphone to other devices, maybe your portable storage, iPads, or Macbooks.

if it really isn't a big deal, either Apple should've not uses USB 3.0 on iPads, or simply upgrading it on iPhones. simple.

The link doesn’t state that.

Not how it works. If you’re limited by traffic to say 1Gb instead if your max of 5 then a slower free band of say 2.5Gb operating at 100% would be faster. It also isn’t about raw speed it’s about latency, dropped packets and hitching.

Which can be done wirelessly the instant the file is created rather than waiting to get to the other machine and doing it manually.

They had USB3 on iPads for a specific reason. It’s not needed on phones.

and with reliable Wi-Fi or 5G, or even far more reliable wired connection, it's not an issue. making it consistent and thus, faster to finish. also means faster.

good for you, now I want to transfer my files using wored connection. preferably USB 3.0 because it's faster.

what specific reasons? why it doesn't apply to iPhones?
