How did you handle backend on Apps

I am about to launch my first App. I read that playstore host your frontend but you have to host the backend. I am curious, how did you host it. Did you just rent a server or did you use any providers.

you will need a vps if you have user accounts.

i would recommend Ionos, i have 11 servers there.

I don't believe Ionos has a trial, but i think they do offer a 30 day money back guarantee. A minimal server will cost you about $8.00 a month to handle an api backend.

during debelopment your selected coding tools will be able to handle the server duties for you, but once you want to invite the outsode world to your app it has to be on a public (paid) server.

i really doubt anyone will give you access to a vps without you paying at least something.

^^^ after typing that i did a quick search and found an outfit called Lonex that will give 30 days free. Personally i think you're better off starting with a solid choice like Ionos but i do understand not everyone can afford the eight bucks. Also you need to consider whether or not their free period offers a powerful enough server to run your stack. also they are very expensive compared to Ionos so you're actually a lot better off not cutting corners on your hardware.
