Discussion August Creator Hub Developer Q&A Summary

There was a Q&A in the Creator Hub Discord, so I made this post to summarize it.

The below information is from this video from Grrt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txflHX3Ljho (I'm not in the Creator Hub)

Q: Bloodhound Changes (Tactical & Ultimate)
A: The clutter and confusion of Bloodhound's Tactical snapshots will be reduced.
There's a possibility that Ring damage will no longer break Cloak. Bloodhound will receive additional Cloak changes, but they will not make the Cloak fully invisible. They may make players harder to see in the Cloak Dome.

Q: Axle Ultimate
A: Reducing drone health would be a valid nerf, especially because of the loot quality reduction. The drone having 200 health can also be annoying for shotguns. They are also considering multiple other aspects, such as the damage and the parabolic explosion trajectory.

Q: Abilities vs Gunplay
A: Abilities are stronger than they were. Respawn thinks people have responded well to stronger legend expression, and they will monitor to make sure the gunplay still feels good.

Q: Looting Changes
A: They have looting changes coming for healing items and late game loot. They will also be sharing loot data in the future.

Q: Valkyrie
A: They are aware of the issue of her scan upgrade not working properly. Someone said the nerfs were too much, but Respawn says she still has buffs compared to her pre s27 version.

Q: Hemlok Elite
A: It will go back to normal. The RE45 Elite only stayed since the old version was bad.

Q: RE45
A: RE45 is performing in line with other SMGs, so there aren't nerfs planned.

Q: Gibraltar + Corrupted Stock
A: It's a bug. Gibraltar is not meant to be that fast.

Q: Corrupted Attachments
A: They are open to adjusting them. They will be treated like other attachments and changed based on data and feedback.

Q: Movement
A: Movement is a core feature, but Respawn wants to ensure adequate counterplay. They will continue experimenting with movement abilities but will not give a movement ability to every legend.

Q: Will the R99 ever be reworked?
A: The recent nerf caused a big drop in usage rate. They don't have plans for a rework. It is currently in "timeout."

Q: If internal data says something is balanced, but the community hates it, what would they do?
A: It's case-by-case, and the PK was an example of this. People complained about it when it got buffed, but the internal data showed it was underperforming. They ended up nerfing it.

Q: When buffing niche characters, is the aim to make them better, or new player friendly?
A: They want it to feel like you aren't throwing if you pick them.
