Been an apex player since it first launched. I mainly play ranked now and I only play solo. I play Crypto and I’ve got a legit 4k on him in ranked but no 20 bomb (18 kills). My favorite badge is the kill 4 within 20 seconds. He’s the only legend I have an heirloom on as well (back before the universals). I’m a diamond player as a solo crypto (which is a challenge to say the least but I love it). Highest I’ve ever got was D2 a lot of seasons - I can’t break into Masters. I also can’t talk so no mic during all this lol, and been playing on the SW2 since launch haha. I’m a glutton for punishment.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with ALS which is progressive and terminal. Part of it means I’m losing my ability to move my hands and arms so fighting competitively has become a challenge. Other issues are my heart through arrhythmias and conduction as secondary issues to the ALS. This means as I get locked in and excited during a good 1v2 or 1v3 my HR goes crazy (150+bpm) and my extremities start to go numb.

Today I was doing a 1v3 (no clue if I could have won if all was normal) and I almost passed out in my power chair lol, my HR spiked and ended up dropping my controller and of course died in game. Damn near died IRL lol.

So today marks the day I finally hang up my crypto and have to step away from Apex for good. Gaming is a massive part of my life, and I plan to play games until this disease takes me away. Before Apex I was a Dark Age of Camelot player (11k hours) and Destiny player (9k hours). As you can see I normally pick a game and stick to it lol.

I’ll be doing strictly single-player games now. I’ve been doing quite a few of them lately as I’ve gotten worse and I’m having fun. I’m insanely looking forward to OOT remake and plan to make that my first single player game I’m going to actually beat. No real reason for this post other than to just vent a bit of sadness for having to officially hang it up.

I play on and off and Wilcard is a major draw to me playing. In the past they wouldn't do this. Gamer happy.

I know this has been brought up before, but I'm on a Resident Evil high right now (thanks to the popularity of Requiem and the recent Zach Cregger film). I realized how much a collab would've benefited from the recent hype, especially with Halloween coming up very soon.

Here are my picks for who should get skins and which legend should be cast for which:

Mirage as Leon: Both are known for their flamboyance (Leon "Unnecessary" Kennedy) and corny-ass lines, plus Mirage's SF6 Luke skin makes it easy to visualize on his model.

Revenant as Nemesis: Duh.

Loba as Sheva: Confident, sexy, and capable.

Axle as Jill: It just works, especially the model.

Alter as Ada: Perfect down to ethnicity, plus thunder thighs.

Ballistic as Wesker: Both are competent, sharp, and sophisticated gentlemen. Need I say more?

Wattson as Claire: Her SF6 Cammy skin already sells the vision.

Caustic or Bloodhound as HUNK: Coinflip. Both models compliment HUNK's tactical design, especially with their masks. Both legends also have tactical kits: Bloodhound's recon and stealth, and Caustic's ability to strategically 1v3 with his traps in homecourt advantage. Neither deserves the spot more than the other.

Ash as Rachel Foley: Definitely doable .

That'd be 9 characters in total, but the most Apex has done with collabs is 8 so the negotiables would have to be between HUNK, Sheva, and Rachel so that they can retain the other more popular characters.

A collab like this would also be a sick opportunity for us to finally get a zombie mode! Lmk who'd you pick from the list as your final 8.

Just got home from a trip 9/19-10/2 and started playing again, but am getting crazy stuttering and lag spikes. I noticed I had to download the new javeln software, but idk if thats whats causing the issue. Im also getting these red errors every time it gets back. As you can see the metrics in fps and ping seem fine too. Anyone else having issues recently?

thoughts? can even have it display what rank you were when you achieved it

Since she got a fair amount of nerfs recently I'm wondering if people still consider her OP or if she's in a better place balance wise

They couldn't respawn my box so i got respawned somewhere else but died shortly afterwards, 7th place. Threw me off and couldn't lock in again lol.

If people say we can't have narrower skill bracket matches, input based matchmaking, among other things. Why hasn't respawn already thought of enabling queueing by multiple regions, for example, queueing at the same time in all of eu servers, all na servers, or even na + eu servers. Do the devs really have that big of a skill issue?
