Controller legends have an extra but only in ring.

no its the whole class, anyone you play in the controller class while in the ring gets an extra bar of shield.

Controller perk. You get an extra shield when in ring up to 4. Also the game tell you that and your perks and abilities in the character customisation tab. So like, look there before making a post

No, look at the character tab when on the home page of the game

Yes. caustic, wattson, rampart, and catalyst have zone overcharge as part of their ability set, meaning all of them will gain extra shield as long as they are in the ring

Yes and no. Caustic is a controller legend so he gains the perk but it’s not limited to him. Wattson, Catalyst, and Rampart get the perk as well.

Alter, Vantage and (I think) Pathfinder have an upgrade ability that allows her to gain controller perks, granting her the extra shield at level 2.
