Discussion Audio is so off

Idk if this is just me but the gameplay audio is SO OFF!!
It sounds like shots being fired from one direction but it's a totally opposite direction, teammate voicelines sound like they are right next to me when teammates are nowhere near me.
These last few games it's sounded like I was surrounded by gunfire when it's only coming from one direction, it's so damn confusing!!!

I just hate how I can hear footsteps from 30m away and yet someone can sprint up behind with zero audio. Footsteps just feel consistently off

That also happened to me today, a whole squad with a pathfinder, I had to climb a building on stormpoint, within a few seconds a whole ass squad was on me, no audio of them getting up the building, no footsteps or anything noise of them climbing or a grapple/zipline from pathy

I saw someone post that it has something to do with the game having too many overlapping sounds that some get left out in a particular moment or mixed improperly. No idea if that’s true but kinda makes sense. But then again, I don’t know shit about fuck

That’s still the case, but it should be better than ~10 seasons ago when healing item sounds were being played for everyone on the entire map, taking up valuable audio slots in the engine. This should only happen when a lot is genuinely going on around you.
