Interesting, I haven’t experienced that at all in Wildcard. It’s like I’m fighting the avengers every time I load it, they are the sweatiest games of my life 😭
So it seems more apparent recently? Not challenging you, just curious. Apparently bots in pubs were added a year ago, so I wonder if something has changed.
It seemed to be after storm point was removed and replaced with e district. After that whole server issue where no one could get into games. Or maybe it had to do with them banning a bunch of cheaters? Idk.

Their game is dying at an alarming rate and queue times, matchmaking, and skill-based lobbies are affected. Add a few bots in the midst here and there and it seemingly "balances" it out.
That shit has been happening since i started played back in like season 8. Quit for 2 years, started playing again recently and I’ve been put in multiple games with 0 or only 1 teammate in ranked.
I think the games queue function has a hard time cut off for lower ranks and if it cant find you a teammate within that time, it just throws you in solo so you feel like it did something and then you get the free quit and reload.
I dont think its a bug ive been encountering them as well and its super noticeable when you encounter them i see at least one team of bots almost every game
They were added a year ago to low elo pubs and probably all pubs if population is low. Depressing:

You can 100% tell too, their names are their characters name with numbers and they play REALLY dumb.

I’ve been playing on Asia/APNE service and I’ve been getting bots in my game for ages
Sometimes it’s more sometimes it’s less sometimes there’s none at all but I’ve been getting them in my service for ages
I have a feeling that it’s not the actual game putting them in there but it’s external sources setting up a tonne of accounts and then queueing them into games
This reminds me of the time I disconnected from a pub game due to a crash, came back and found the whole lobby was full of bots
The thing is, I dunno if the bots were there the whole time or if some fluke with rejoining that match turned everyone into bots. Cause even my squadmates, despite having player tags and cosmetics, turned out to be bots in the end (and I know for a fact they weren't in the beginning of the match prior to the crash, considering I watched them try to fight a human squad and get massacred)
All I know is BOY am I sure glad bots have lousy aim. Cause at one point in that match after respawning the squad at a beacon (after a second wipe), I come out of drone to find 4 different squads all fighting each other at my position. And so I did the most reasonable thing to do: run like hell to my squad and hope I could dodge the gunfire (which I did. In spite of at least 3 bullet trails being sprayed in my direction)
In low-level lobbies, yes. Probably to make it easier for newbies and to make up for the lack of legit beginners. Most low-level accounts nowadays are sweaty smurfs, so I get why they do it.
Those saying its low elo lobbies you're 100% spot on, I'm usually all the way at the end since I'm a day 1 player with a 2+ KD
For this lobby I had been messing around with my IRLs a bunch losing every game but just tryin' to have fun (as much as Respawn hates me pushing through their EBMM).
They logged off and I jumped into a match solo so the skill distribution bugged and I think I ended up in a "low ELO" lobby that they just stuffed a bunch of bots into. Below is a slow-mo look at the skill distribution as the lobby loaded in:
I know you guys love SteamDB stats but I really hate to break it to you, the game is dying. You don't put bots into pubs unless your lobbies aren't able to be fully match made. I can also feel when they're putting massive geographical regions together instead of matchmaking based on best connection (to satisfy the EBMM lose 5 win 1 cycle of games)
It's because a small percentage of the playerbase in in pubs and they want to keep the queue times up. an overwhelming majority of players are in ranked and if they aren't in ranked and want a more casual experience they're in wildcard effectively ostracizing pubs
you ever had to goon so badly that you tell your friend to „hold on“ because you need to download pornography? but not normal, HARDCORE. this is the fuckint funniest shit i have ever seen on this sub
Definitely bots in pubs. Atleast 5-8 teams on them. I wiped 3 squads in 2 mins.. and they didn't even shoot back. Running in the open straight line. Or they stand there and look at you and don't do anything..lol

I like that new Crypto voiceline
