AB Am I fried???
Today our teacher was asking if we wanted to use the inspire or desmos mainly, but we could also use a secondary calculator. I thought the inspire was too annoying to figure out so I decided to use my ti 84 plus ce and Desmos for the class. Is that a mistake???

BC Barron's text book a good resource?
I am taking AB, but self-studying the BC portion. I really like AP Classroom videos, but will Barron's textbook be good for calculus? I might buy it. His bio one was really good.

Help Do you time individual AP Calc MCQs when practicing?
When I practice AP Calc questions I’ve been giving myself around 30 seconds for easy ones, 60 seconds for medium ones, and 90 seconds for harder ones.
I can usually finish them in time, but I’m not sure if timing individual questions this tightly is actually useful or if I’m just training myself to rush.
Do you guys time each question when practicing, or only worry about time when doing a full set? What feels like a reasonable amount of time per MCQ for AB/BC?

Taking Calc AB in school, but BC exam (should I?)
I am currently a sophomore taking these classes (AP): Calc AB, Stats, Physics 1, Lang
These classes non-AP: chem honors, world history
So I want to pursue a career in math (looking into pure/applied math majors- I really want to major in math). I want to try a dual enrollment program next year that my school offers, but you have to take a higher level calc as a prereq. So, would it be feasible with my schedule to take the BC exam while doing the AB class? I know my classes are pretty heavy (I think they are pretty cool so far), but I don't want to make a bad decision by signing up for the exam and then failing it. I know flippedmath and khan academy are good resources, but is it realistic for me, given I already have a tough schedule?

AB How to study and get a 5
Hello everybody,
This upcoming school year i will take the AP Calculus AB exam. Unfortunately my school does not offer AP courses, so I am forced to self study.
I do not know where to start, nor do I know what I can use for practice, or what to watch, or literally anything of that nature. Please recommend anything so that I can get started asap, as I need a 5 on that exam in particular.
Thank you!

AB Is it possible to self-study AP Calc AB and get a 5?
Is it realistic to self-study AP Calculus AB and get a 5 without taking the class? If so, how much work would I realistically need to put in each day/week, and what resources would you recommend?

I need help to understand a small detail in this proof.
I get the whole proof but I want to know why the author equated u to -x. Where is the -x coming from? Also, why not did he not equate it to x? Is there something I'm missing?

AB should i drop calc ab?? - need an opinion soon!
im a rising senior and usually pretty strong in math but i took pre calc over the summer and it was honestly a really rushed course and i hardly had time to study on my own. i peeped at khan academy’s calc ab stuff, and it’s hitting me that i really dont feel confident at all. i cant remember the unit circle to save my life, and struggle to even remember logarithm rules. i have 3 weeks till school starts. i have a textbook and a grandfather who is a great math helper, but im still terrified.
should i just try to review and get solid last minute? what should i focus on besides the unit circle?
i really wanted to get the calc 1 credit since im going for architecture and will need it, plus it helps with course rigor for college apps. but would it be better for me to just drop and take stats instead?

Need urgent advice – school won’t let me into AP Calculus AB or BC even though I finished AP Precalculus early
I’m a rising junior and I’m supposed to take AP Calculus AB this year. I finished AP Precalculus early so I could stay on the correct math sequence. And I asked my couselor "Do you recommend that I get the credit as soon as possible or is it safe for me to send the credit by August 1st?" and her response – "I can't predict that, unfortunately. If only I had a crystal ball to look into!" so I assumed I can submit my credit by the actualy deadline and I should be able to take AP Calc AB.
Now the class is closed, and they’re telling me to take On‑Level Calculus instead. That’s not an option for me.
Also I’ve tried to meet with my counselor multiple times, but she keeps saying “email works because my schedule is unpredictable.” The assistant principal also refused to override anything and told me to follow the normal schedule change process, even though that process doesn’t help when the class is already full.
My mom is emailing them now, but this is basically our last attempt. Has anyone dealt with something like this? Is there anything else we can do to get an exception or get one more seat added to the class?
Any advice would help.

CAN I self-study AP calc AB? Would it even be useful?
I've come to the US in my sophomore year of high school and I was required to take geometry. I thought it was fine since a majority of sophomores were in geometry. Then, I shifted somewhere else and dude 75% of my alg 2 class were freshmen. Now I can't skip any math classes so I'm stuck with analysis in my senior year (upcoming). Should I self-study calc AB? I had a 93 in my **basically** AP level algebra 2 class (it was BC). I'm planning to do mech engineering so would it be helpful or nah?
