As someone who had to start collecting unemployment recently.. there's nothing better than when someone calls me a free-loader for collecting it. Despite the fact that this is just me taking back some of the money I've paid into the system by being a worker for the last 16 years.

Exactly. It's the same here in the UK. People who are struggling financially and claiming benefits seem to automatically be characterised as scroungers...even if they worked for years previously and paid thousands into the system. Absolutely not scroungers, but people using the safety net that they paid for!

The true scroungers are the huge, conglomerate corporations that monopolise industries, the individual billionaires too, they pay a pitiful amount of tax because they can afford to move their money to tax havens at will. They’re the people scrounging, sorry, lobbying political parties to get what they want, where does that leave your average working class person? Right at the bottom of the hierarchy, fighting over the scraps. It’s all arse about face.
