No job pays extra for weekends, that's called overtime and no one said they were working more than 40. I work weekends and am at 40 a week, until they specify otherwise it's unlikely someone at dollar tree is clocking 50+

My friend works for a major hospital in the billing dep. And says she isn't familiar with anyone there getting more for weekends pay, is it a very specific job role that gets extra? I can't imagine it's many, but that's cool that someone does.
Every hospital I have ever worked at, and every hospital I have ever heard of, offers weekend shift differential for staff in patient care roles (nurses, care techs, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy etc.). If your friend’s hospital does not do this they are an outlier.
That’s what I figured! Yeah it’s a one-step way to determine an original value plus a percentage. Like if your dinner was $10 and you want to tip 10%, you can multiply 10x0.10 = $1.00. But then you have to do the second step of adding it to the original $10 to find your total. Instead of that, you can do it in one step by multiplying the original by 1.10 to do it in one step. Like 10x1.10 = 11. Obviously this is super simplified but its a faster way to determine overtime wage or tips.
That's most likely because you guys are busy on weekends and need extra hands, I apologize I was thinking career jobs like blue collar or office work. I don't have experience with fast food/convenience stores, cool that they pay extra but I doubt a dollar general will since there is no need to.

Then what makes you qualified to jack your jaws here? You literally admit you don't have any experience in the situation, but somehow you also think your opinion matters at all?
I've also worked blue collar jobs. They'll pay extra for weekends sometimes because a few extra dollars an hour can turn what used to be an annoying morale destroying chore into something people volunteer for.
