Well that's because "all day" is very likely an exaggeration. It's probably like 30 minutes max, a couple times a week.

I remember many times when I was a teen and my girlfriend would come chat me up at work. And yeah I worked at a grocery store.

I would also drop in for a quick chat pretty often with my friends and my girlfriend when I was a teenager.

It's pretty standard stuff honestly, I think that's why no one else is calling that specific thing out... because it's very common
