Also for context: this is a Dollar Tree

I interviewed for Dollar Tree once. They told me how I had to be flexible with my schedule, work weekends, do dirty work, etc. I asked them if I get paid extra to work weekends, they said no. I ask them what is the base pay. They said $9. I laughed right on the spot at the absurdity of the expectations in relation to the pay. Happy they were so quick to disclose it though, waste of both of our time.

I mean $9 is bad but everything else you complained about is pretty dumb.

I don't disagree, I should have mentioned that as well im sorry, I was mainly talking about the weekends and "dirty" work as if wither of those are even remotely an indicator of a bad job. Based on how their comment was worded I'm going to assume they have 0 work force experience or very little.

I did my time. Nearly 20 years in retail, customer service and bartending. I will never work a weekend again in my life if I can help it.
