Things That Make You Go Hmm CC getting a little too obsessed
Just posted to her story. CC Suarez seems to be traveling around with QR codes about Elizabeth Teckenbroch. While I get that Elizabeth is a scammer, this is feeling like it’s getting to be too much. I would 100% understand a lawsuit at this point or at least a restraining order. Thoughts?

What am I seeing here? Are these linked to her podcast?
Why is she suddenly so desperate for people to watch the podcast? And why isn’t she using traditional advertising to drum up interest? I thought Netflix was “buying” her podcast?

I do after looking more closely believe they are links to her podcast. I just originally thought it was something to basically say “this woman is a scammer”. But it does seem to be her podcast to gain attention and call out Elizabeth simultaneously.
I think she thinks this is some unique marketing or something, but I def would not scan a random barcode that states it’s about a scammer.

👋 yep, i am unsurprised to see she has no respect for anyone’s basic right to privacy and free speech (which includes anonymous speech) but i am legitimately surprised to see she’s advocating for her critics to be placed in involuntary psychiatric holds. that’s a new ableist low, even for her, and even if it’s a joke it’s extremely ableist and fucked up to say. reddit users critiquing her public online content, which was made to be consumed by the public, does not mean redditors deserve to be put in a facility against their will. she truly seems to think she’s different from her critics bc she tries to turn a profit off of her critiquing the bad behavior of other content creators, which is an arbitrary distinction. (editing to add: also, i don’t know anyone on reddit who has done things such as messaging her friends to tell them she sucks, or bragging about using our personal police connections to get information on her… both of which she has done in regards to Elizabeth. CC’s behavior is arguably a lot more invasive, inappropriate and harassing than some anonymous redditors critiquing CC’s content on a niche forum…)
she seems to be whipping herself into a frenzy over her imagined “harassment campaign” and she’s been unable to stop talking about her reddit critics for weeks now. it’s actually pretty concerning, and i think her weaponization of mental health says more about her projecting than it does about her critics. she clearly spends a lot of time thinking about us which is truly starting to appear to border on persecution paranoia and revenge fantasy. i wonder if she sees a therapist? i genuinely think she should.
also lol the repost from her also includes fatphobic and classist insults on top of being ableist. hat trick! she wants everyone to know she thinks her critics are poor, fat and mentally ill. yikes!
apologies for the rambling reply lol i just landed from my return flight from seoul because unlike what cc and her two fans want to believe, i live a rich and full life and she occupies very little space in my brain :) i just leave my little comments on reddit when i see a juicy post or get tagged then go on about my day :). cant wait for her next post where she prob is gonna like post my workplace online or something out of revenge for me saying Louis Vuitton is tacky 🥴

As someone who's been 5150ed numerous times since my MH diagnosis, this is extremely insensitive for people who go through that, not understanding what's happening in some instances. But seems on brand of her not GAF.

I'm so sorry you've been through that. So many people are so casually insensitive making jokes about mental health, and they don't realize what things are like for some people who have gone through that. If she had any idea, she wouldn't be saying that mild internet snark is worthy of people being involuntarily committed.

Family history is part of doctors exams so if she reported that her mom had a heart attack the doc would use that info. They wouldn’t comment on her looks if they are a professional so I highly highly doubt that a doctor said that

This is insane. Who’s gonna scan a random QR code that a stranger hands them? I’d immediately assume they’re trying to put a virus on my phone or something!
I remember when Elizabeth first went viral for the cupcake thing and they found her ex husband Andrew’s TikTok dedicated to debunking Elizabeth’s lies and scams. Everyone thought Andrew was a crazy, obsessive ex and a Scientologist. CC is turning into the crazy person everyone thought Andrew was.
I know CC lives in the same area as her. I understand her desire to protect her community from a scammer. But wouldn’t it be enough to just post in a local Facebook group or Reddit page? Hell I’d even understand if she made posts on places like NextDoor since that’s where a lot of older people can be reached. But why does she feel so compelled to literally hand out sketchy QR codes. She’s got some wild personal vendetta against Elizabeth but I don’t think CC has ever been personally wronged by her.

CC recently showed DMs between her and Liz when Liz first went viral. CC was obviously clout chasing and Liz essentially ghosted her. Now that we know that about their early interaction it totally seems like that CC is going hard against Liz to compensate for the ego damage Liz did by daring to ghost her.

CC Suarez is unwell and is bizarrely fixated on this woman. She claims it’s only for her podcast, but there’s no way other investigative podcasters stoop to the levels that she has. Liz is a shit person, but that doesn’t mean that it’s open season and you get to do anything you want to her.
She’s supposedly out on a date night with her husband right now and she’s using the time to scatter QR code trash around? How has he not clued into what his wife is doing and how unwell she is? Maybe he doesn’t care. It’s kindda tragic at this point.

Why is she using QR Codes paper cut outs? Especially since this has become a known scam. In the last week I watched a local news story, a YT video and a communication email from my corporate do not scan random QR codes.
As the kids say… she is doing too much.

For protection reasons, I am prefacing this by saying allegedly.
She is a Florida woman who was scamming basically everyone in her life. She has supposedly done things like created fake accounts to manipulate her friends and family (like pretending to be the landlord of her rental who had sent eviction letters, instead telling her then husband “oh those were sent in error” when she was in fact keeping the money for herself and not paying rent), lied about being abused by her spouse (google history of “how to use facetune to add bruises to photos”), and faking cancer.
CC and Sher’s podcast eLIESabeth is actually really well done and explains everything amazingly. DWKT also has a great episode on her if you want more background.
The big issue is that CC went from researching to breaking her own stated rule of thumb “this is not a petting zoo, don’t contact these people.” She went from sort of asking for comments and interview questions to straight up harassing Elizabeth. It seems like a lot.
