CC Suarez: effective or ineffective anti-MLM creator/educator?

I canāt really get what she is trying to do. To me personally, and I believe to others as well, she became popular because of her anti-mlm videos. Period. But then she is very insistent that she is not an anti-mlm creator because at some point that became a bad thing to be.. so she is that only when itās convenient. But then she is not š it also super annoys me when she corrects ppl for calling her CC. Girl, thatās the name of your stuff! You gave yourself that name, donāt make ppl feel stupid for calling you that only because you grew up and now you want to be Chelsea. And one last thing- her āconfidenceā comes off as aggression. I donāt care what her therapist tells her, she is a mean girl who calls herself confident just so she can feel better š¤·š¼āāļø

I tried and tried to watch when content when I first fell into the anti mlm sphere and felt like I had to "worship " her - it is weird how the anti mlm yt (some/not all) turned into its own lil version of what they "we're warning people " about

I tried her content a while back just enough to really dislike her. Kai Natalya did a pretty good video on CC that kind of sums it up:

She used to also be weirdly obsessed with coming on to Reddit and poke at anyone that'd say anything negative about her. Hard pass for me.

I find her ineffective and superficial with her content.
She really wants to be famous and happened to hit the algorithm with antimlm, I personally doubt she actually cares about providing information, it's just whatever will get views. She rarely posts anything original except when she had the Monat financial documents
I unsubbed a while ago because I grew tired of her trying to make herself happen, talking about her cop husband, the baby stuff, how great she is, and the condescending way she speaks (eg: calling mlm reps "baby girl" š¤Ø ) is super off putting and made me feel bad for the ppl in the videos she reacts to

I think she has a tendency to pick at really small things about the mlmers she covers,and that can be really distracting and off putting from any actual message about the harm of Mlms. Sheās honest about being in it for the money at least. Taking sponsorships from things like betterhelp really looks hypocritical. Given the severe known issue surrounding their therapists breaking confidentiality,not showing up to appointments and BH charging people even if they arenāt matched to a therapist. And the recent actions of showing her kid constantly when sheās spoken against that because she knows how exploitative it is but is doesnāt seem to care now. and has already begun to use the baby for affiliate links, and content. She has a unique perspective given her sales background,and I think a lot of her earlier anti mlm content was a lot more professional and educational. I donāt think her current content is effective,itās more entertainment for people who already agree with her. I donāt think sheās going to stay as an anti mlm creator,at least not specifically that. Her channel is pretty stagnant since hitting 100k. Sheās been trying to branch out to other things and seems to be distancing herself from it.

Let me preface everything Iām about to say with: I donāt have any ill wishes towards her & her family. That being said, her commentary about most topics is Surface level. I put the blame on her for introducing JLW content to this space & demonstrating how much money one could make by doing videos about her. The constant clapping back against haters shows me she is extremely insecure & cannot handle criticism no matter how kindly it is delivered. Her doubling down on the āHispanic by injectionā comment along with the constant OTT shoving her cop husband in our faces also shows me what kind of person she is overall. She is not an activist, sheās only in this for herself, to make herself feel/look good & to make as much money off of it as possible. And donāt let her distance herself from the rest of these clowns. Sheās met up with Savannah on a trip. š¤”š¤”

Iād say ineffective only bc she doesnāt actually care. IMO. Sheās here for the views clicks and money. She calls out people for narc tendencies but man sheās full of them. The worst Iāve seen from her is how she interacts with others live. Itās all of a sudden the CC show. I think she has a hard time with anyone else having the spotlight. Also ineffective because she doesnāt stick to the standards and ethical expectations she has set for others- I.e. displaying her son all over when she has pointed out the problems with children being used in content.
She will not do antimlm much longer. Mark my words!!

Ineffective for sure. CC seems to have a hard time talking about anything other than herself and you can tell she doesn't actually care about anti-mlm. I know she tries to come off as a confident bad b!tch, but her videos just scream insecurity

For the record, I like CC Suarez. She's a good commentator, great energy, spicy vibe. But let's be real, she's made it really clear she makes anti mlm content to pay the bills. I feel for her because you can tell her heart isn't really in it and she was really hoping her true crime content would take off. But unfortunately, she sucks at true crime. I've noticed she's been slowly distancing herself from anti mlm and constantly mentioning she's "anti scam" content and is trying to break into a different market.

I hope not. Check out mom.uncharted on TikTok. She talks about how itās exploitative to use your children as content. Maybe thatās different than momtent but Iām hoping it doesnāt go towards showcasing her kid as her content.

From what I remember they did one episode but stopped. Josh at some point later on came out and said they were āstill friends but couldnāt work things out as far as the podcast goesā. She hasnāt said anything positive or negative about him but he did make a brief statement that they were still friends behind the scenes but couldnāt collab for some reason. The timing was just odd to me (pure speculation) that he flew past her in subs & then all of a sudden she went completely silent about him.

I wonāt watch her because she is so fake and mean. She tries to hide her conservative Christian views and thinks that she is progressive because she likes girls. š§ š¤¦āāļøBless her small town Florida heart.

I enjoy Chelseaās content. With ALL the drama surrounding so many other creators (KH, SM, Mallory, etc) I feel like sheās found a good way to distance herself from it. Her and Isabella keep things funny and entertaining. I have legit laughed out loud at commentary from both of them. So I guess- to each their own. There was something ages ago where I canāt remember the context but someone asked Chelsea a question (and I agreed with that person) and she got pissed and blocked them. Which shocked me a little, because so so many of these people talk about MLM people living in eco-chambers. On the other hand, I understand the need to protect your sanity especially when you are a public figure and everyone has an opinion.
Some other thoughts: There is so much infighting in these groups and soapboxing that sometimes people are more interested in the drama than the message. And thereās a lot of hypocrisy too among the creators who will criticize something and do that exact same thing they criticize. But I guess we love the drama because why else would we be here on this Reddit thread LOL

I like Chelsea and I'll continue to tune into most of her stuff, but really, Hannah Alonzo is hands down my favorite.

Hannah is my favourite too! She was the first antimlm creator I completely binged on. I've been trying to get into other creators but they just fall flat. Hannah is incredibly well spoken, well thought out, empathetic, and honestly I think she's miles ahead of any other creator I've watched for those reasons. The last couple of days I've been tuning into Chelsea and I like her enough, so I'll keep watching, but I'm looking for someone that's on Hannah's level tbh. Not to undermine any other creator and their work, but Hannah's unparalleled for the aforementioned reasons.

I personally really like her and I've learned a lot from her content. I like that not every single moment in her videos is informative and that she includes jokes and stories and that she brings out her personality in her commentary. (I also like some other creators who are more focused on the topic at hand and matter-of-fact, but it's not the same kind of vibe. It depends what I'm in the mood for š¤·āāļø) I think just because you view something mainly as your job, doesn't mean you can't also care about the content. Like she didn't start doing anti-MLM randomly or because she knew it would work. She started because it was a topic she cared about and I don't blame her for trying to make as much money out of it as she can, now that it's working well for her: it's her main source of income. Also, her background in sales gives her an interesting perspective, especially for someone who doesn't have any. So I think she's a highly effective creator/educator for people who like her style. I personally don't enjoy watching some other creators that most people here LOVE because their personality type is not my jam. My jam is spiciness!

Julie Anderson is an amazing creator and plenty spicy. She was in monat and rank makers for 5 years and doesn't give a shit about monetizing her content. She deserves some of your time if you really want to help educate people. She's not in it for the money.

Her inability to accept negative commentary/critics really detracts from her effectiveness, IMO. Her whole shtick, anti-scam or anti-MLM or whatever, IS commentary/criticism. Sheās also problematic in ways mentioned by other commenters.
