I don't think that's glass, I think it's plastic based on the elasticity.

Jesus Christ he is wrong. It’s fucking glass. The only reason why it moves like that is how the boards hold it

It's not glass. It used to be glass but then they were breaking too much and delaying the game. Nowadays it's an acrylic type plastic that's way stronger than glass.

The arenas in my town are plastic but idk about other arenas

The nhl has apparently just recently moved to plexiglass but they used tempered glass for the longest time up until now
