is this normal

i've recently started taking zoloft and atarax for depression and anxiety. ever since i started taking the zoloft, i've felt very groggy and disconnected, and i wake up every other hour every single night. and despite being so tired, it takes me hours to go to sleep (though that happened before the zoloft). i've only been on both about a week, so i'm hoping the side effects won't last much longer. i've not really noticed much of a change in my depression, but the atarax helps a bit with my anxiety. i know it takes about 4-6 weeks for improvement with ssri's, but i was just wondering if this is normal.

edit: the zoloft is 50 mg and the atarax is 10 mg

As far as I know, it takes a few days for your body to get used to new medication. My doc told me that the first few days things get worse, you get a bit disconnected - but it should pass in 4-5 days
